    3. ​@siuxsie8446 do a blood test (check for thyroid/T3/T4, fasting insulin +glucose, HbA1C, vitamin D). Other than one’s thyroid levels being off, it’s mostly the fasting insulin (very rarely if ever checked on basic annual exam) that’s preventing fatloss, since it’s instructing the body to store, store, store! 🤦‍♂️

    4. @@siuxsie8446 no problem. Dr. Fung explains all of this in his lectures and books. Elevated insulin (as a result of high blood sugars attained through eating too many carbohydrates and too often) is essentially stopping fat loss in the body (and also makes you hungry as your blood sugars yo-yo between meals). Watch some of his full lectures & interviews; it’s all there. 😉✌️

  3. La Salud, Dr. Fung. Have followed you for just over a year. Have lost 70. lbs, reversed type 2 diabetes. Lowerd HbA1C from 9.5 to 5.7. Got rid of insulin and metformin. All this after getting a renal transplant two years back! 🙏

  5. “Weight”? How about FAT. Yes, you gain fat from excessive energy intake. Yes, you lose fat from eating less energy.
