Everyone cannot take creatine, it hurts my back and I’ve tried a couple of high quality brands.
Try lower doses. There is another form Creatine HCL for those who can’t tolerate monohydrate.
Every person is different so maybe it doesn’t work with your genetics or perhaps you don’t need it. I work with a genetic specialist and he only wants me taking a certain type of creatine that something extra to help my body process it. I highly recommend getting genetic testing. Once I get on this specific creatine supplement, I’ll report back.

Doesn’t it cause water retention?
The monohydrate variety causes me to retain water in my legs and feet badly but creatine HCL does not. Maybe give it a try.

One warning…you MUST drink a minimum of 64 oz of water to take this. I hadn’t been and started taking it. I freaked out on day two because my urine looked blood colored. I even went to the urgent care. Basically, the MD thought I was crazy and then said.. don’t take creatine unless you are well hydrated.
