    1. I love Dr. Fung, but being the primary cook for a family, this isn’t really true for me. I do look forward to when it can be.

  2. I’m a type 2 diabetic I fast 24 hours a couple days a week and the other I do 12 to 18 hour fast. I also keep my carbs 50 or less a day. I don’t eat anything like bread pasta rice and most fruits. I can’t figure out what I can do better. I would love some suggestions.

    1. But if you are doing “IF” then you HbA1c will lower. I’ve just received my HbA1c results back after following IF , in 3 months it has dropped from 56 (UK readings) to 41.

  4. I usually have 2 big nutritious meals a day and do I.F. spontaneously but next week I will be on vacation on a full board that means breakfast lunch and dinner. Why? Because I also need a social life 🤷 so I will try to eat as healthily as possible but I will enjoy my vacation, the company of the people I will be with and the meals as well.

  5. Ray peat says fasting destroys hormones in long term. Because we run in cortisol and it’s not a good thing especially for female hormones . Early menopause, poor sleep poor skin quality etc.

    1. Do you have any evidence to back such a claim? I’ve never heard of a doctor saying that about fasting.

  6. down by 16 pounds with fasting, exercise, high fat and protein( almost carnivore) and very little or no carbs

  7. Fasting gives back too much time for most people. With everything evolving around food, people feel they are missing out.
