I think Prof. Robert Lustig was warning about Ozempic that it could cause permanent gastroparesis.
Yeah, itโs terrible for your gut. Heโs not the only source discussing that. Its disappointing to see this channel basically promoting it by discussing benefits while leaving out all the harm it does
Thatโs great! More doctor visits and life time support that would bring thousands of dollars from each patient.
Yeah for a tiny tiny minority it may but since it is a hormone itยดs most likely extremely safe.
Yes. I am not sure why this channel (being paid?????) is discussing (promoting) a super profitable bad drug as a solution? I will unsubscribe
@@usernwn7qe I donโt knowโฆ Insulin is just a hormone but look at what it can do. You may be right though, Iโll research. Iโve actually read The Obesity Code and Iโm all for the advice there and treating diseases with diet.
I was on Semiglutide for a few weeks. It showed me how much I have been eating because I was bored or out of habit. After it I eat more consciously. Iโm simply aware of how I feel and what my cravings mean. It simply straighten up my relationship with food. Loosing weight was just a side effect of it
I already fast, I already have gastroparesis and nausea and early satiety .. fasting is the best thing Iโve found..
but if I have sweets it all goes out the window and Iโm starving and I want sugar all day
Thank you, Doctor, for the wonderful effort
Thanks Dr Fung! As soon as I heard delayed gastric emptying, vomiting came to mind because I vomiting when I canโt adequately digest whatever Iโve eaten. Intermittent fasting and carnivore = no hunger pangs.
Canโt wait for follow up on alternatives and ways to regulate the hormone imbalance better
Sixty minutes Australia has posted several youtube stories about fatal side effects caused by the GLP-1 meds. I could never use it as I had pancreatitis about twenty years ago.
smart choice
Please release the separate video ASAP, please and thanks
This is disappointing that you havenโt mentioned that itโs a life long drug, when you come off your weight will skyrocket because you think you can eat crap, that it destroys the muscles, the heart being one and other side effects.
Thank you Dr. wonderful talk.
Thank you dr. Fung. I donโt need drugs because I follow your advice. IF, longer fasting, low carb, HIIT and resistance training.
Thank you Dr. Fung.
I am very pleased with my regime of intermittent fasting and keto and or low-carb lifestyle. I lost 27 kg in one year.
6:18 This is what I like about Dr Fung: he gets that hunger is central to weight gain/loss, as in the long run hunger determined how much we eat, and thus drives how many calories we consume. Itโs all about how hungry we are relative to how many calories we actually need.
Thatโs why telling patients to count their calories, or to control their portion sizes, or anything like that, is always going to fail, because it leads to hunger. People, in the long run, eat until they are satiated, and that depends on all sorts of factors beyond the exact number of calories they have consumed. Two meals with the exact same calories can have vastly different abilities to curb your hunger.
This is what he said in a recent interview regarding these drugs. I wish this video were more comprehensive.
Exactly, itโs far more simpler and reliable to just fast for a specific amount of time.
OMAD is a very good strategy as well as going on a water fast for 1-2 days.
too bad the drug actually is riddled with adverse effects that destroy your health once you reach your consumption goals.
Thank you for the analysis. It is always interesting to learn more about other medical tools to reduce weight.
Very interesting topic cant wait for the next video.
I really like how you compare the 2 with Alcoholism! Very good point.
Tks .
Thank you Dr Fung for sharing this information. Ozempic may not be for everyone, but it certainly has helped many lose weight and improve their health.
Thank you for this! Canโt wait for the next video
Finally! An official video with you about Ozempic. Thanks Dr. Fung. Now do Mounjaro.
I was in your beta testing fasting groups with Meghan back in the day. I was actually on ozempic for a year and didnโt lose anything and actually started to gain weight. My doctor recently switched to Mounjaro and it seems to be working better for me. If you could also do a video about how these drugs affect those that are T2, that would be amazing. You saved my life all those years ago and I value your thoughts. Thank you!
You are an amazing Doctor, so glad to be subscribed to your channel!
