Moderate carbs to very low! Meats, salads and high fat dairy is the key to diabetic success. High carbs = high glucose levels! HIGH glucose = HIGH insulin which damages the body!

Why don’t Doctors in general don’t tell us go low carb and fast to lower our glucose levels? I started both in April and I have lost 21 lbs.and yesterday my mentor read 88.

    • @Catrawr-slay says:

because people sue for EVERYTHING – they would lie / exaggerate and say ” YOU TOLD ME EAT ZERO CARBS . NEVER EAT ANYTHING “

    • @Teri-LynnePlank says:

Because it’s all about money. There is no money to be made in the prevention of disease, or the reversal of it (if possible to reverse.) The money is in the medicines prescribed, the management of the very disease, syndrome, condition, that we deal with.

I’m very grateful to have been given such direct and honest information , I’m even more grateful that it was given to me by my actual Doctor at the time. I’ve never forgotten what he told me.

There are good Doctors, but you have to advocate for yourself. Ask questions, lots of them if you need to. Nobody knows your body better than you. Listen to what its telling you, (and Mike the Meter is telling you) and share with your Doctor. I keep a daily log of what I ate, how much, what time, and my pre and post meal meter readings. When I add different foods, I can see if they help or hurt me. I can then remove or tweak that food. I also take it to my Doctors appointment, so they can see the pattern(s) in between appointments. My Doctor says how much they appreciate this, as it gives them mire information to help them help me.
I appreciate and enjoy your channel. Thank you to both you, and Benedicta.

It suits the doctors to have us battling high blood glucose levels. I switched to a high protein-fat low-carb diet last year. My HBA1cs steadily dropped from +15 to 5.1 (most recent in April), Everyone commended me except my doctor. He didn’t seem pleased, My cholestrol was 0.2 above the marker. A very learned pharmacist told me my cholestrol is fine. My doctor through his receptionist, said that I must watch my diet to bring down my cholestrol. Never said a word about the amazing 5.1 HBA1c.

Ive noticed that my doctors are very careful to not say anything that’s not considered the “standard of care”.
They spend a decade in education in their careers. They are completely risk averse.

My A1C is down a bit to 5.4 now. I can tell that my insulin sensitivity has improved this past year.

The food that gets me everytime is Pepperoni pizza. I might eat it once a month

  • @kierradrayton3599 says:

Thank you for this video, as usual you are extremely helpful and you put information in it’s simplest form lol. Also thanks for mentioning what to do if you are on the slimmer side. God bless you always Mr. Dennis!

  • @teresamclaughlin1112 says:

I’ve brought my A1C from 12.5 to 5.8 in 9 months. My fasting glucose was 91. My ldl was 264. Info says give up cream, cheese, coconut oil, fatty beef. Increase oats, beans and fruit? Very discouraged.
Those ldl lowering foods skyrocket my glucose.

  • @suzyn9119 says:

145 was great….. so you’re probably not insulin resistant anymore…..yay!

  • @suzyn9119 says:

But if you ate the baked potato with the salad and also a steak…. your sugar would stay even lower. That’s what i do….. i eat protein with it.

  • @jaca786 says:

Thank you for explaining the glucose spikes.

Thank you for this video. Praying for you and Benedicta. Would you guys consider doing another Beat Diabetes Challenge? I know it’s a lot of work on your part. Even if there was a fee to join, i believe it is so beneficial.
