On behalf of ALL Humanity Doctor Fung… Thank you for your service to this world. You are a great man.
Thank you for having the passion and curiosity for your craft to go deeper and see the truth in what had been overlooked for far too long.
Thank you for having the bravery to spread this truth and speak out even when your voice must have shook.
Above all else thank you for caring so much about the human race and showing us how to heal from the propaganda, deception and processed GARBAGE FOOD we are force fed by the media & “experts” about how to eat a “healthy” “balanced” “diet”.

    SO EXCITED for this!!

I’ve been intermittent fasting since June
    I started slowly
Now I have a routine I’m used to and feel better than I have in years
I work 3 twelve hour shifts a week
On my work days I do 16:8
On my days off, I do OMAD and work out in a fasted state
    Once a week I do a 24-48 hour fast
I have lost 66 pounds so far. From 226 to 160. Wanting to lose 10 more pounds.
    Loving your videos!

    • Nazareth Bergeron says:

hello Dr Fung… i have a terrible hunger problem and when it hits i HAVE TO eat, it can happen anywhere from 2 – 4 hours after the last time i ate… and if i fast 24 hours, i fall down and hurt myself the next morning with HUGE nausea to go with it… i so badly want to lose weight, but i don’t know how, i’ve tried everything, help!!?!?!?!?

    • Robert Mitchell says:

      @Nazareth Bergeron
I am not a medical doctor or studied diets etc just did business school

However I had similar issues starting off

Consider fermented foods , add pickles olives sauerkrauts and kefir drink and if you can handle some apple cider vinegar with honey before bedtime

The issue was a gut issue the processed foods sugars etc the bad microbes is dominant over the good a skew in the balance now it takes a month or two before the re balancing and replinishing of the good microbes and the hunger naturally curbs ,the issue is an abortion issue hence the hunger cravings so early after meals

On the fasting take baby steps when I started I barely did eight hours then I would drink or eat some low carb foods like pickles nuts steam veggies with butter and continue the fast
      It just the buildings blocks
If you suffer after twenty four hours you may need to take more baby steps
God 🙏 bless and all the success

Thank you Dr. Fung!! I’m down 45 lbs in 6 months. Have another 100 to go, but it’s going well.

  • Missingno says:

I’m 41 pounds down after I started fasting last March. At the start I was doing 16:8 but quickly changed to 23:1. I had always been interested and did research here and there for about a year prior to starting. Best decision for my health ever.

    • Manu Kashyap says:

do you do 23:1 every day? what do you eat for that one meal?

    • Rodolfo says:

@Manu Kashyap I’ll just say what I could eat that would keep me fine the whole day even for work. 6 slices of integral (whole wheat I believe is the name) bread with fried eggs and 2 oranges and 1 banana. This will keep you full for a really long time. And I’m pretty hard to get full eating pizza.

  • Danielle Parker says:

I started fasting about 16:8 spring of last year. I’m so grateful I did this for myself. I’ve lost around 85 lbs. I’m fluctuating the last few months due to both knees replaced and needing to increase my protein intake for healing and giving my body only good stuff. I see myself reaching for a homemade yogurt parfait with about 24 grams of protein and I add fresh berries with raspberries being my favorite. I feel so much better than ever. I’m joining the channel and look forward to seeing more of your advice on nutrition and fasting.

  • Health Insider says:

We’re fasting not only because we want to lose weight but also to develop our self-discipline, self control and self-respect. Those aspects are REALLY important. Best of luck to all of you!😍

  • Christina Roman says:

I found your video explaining insulin resistance. I am one of those that medication, metformin, was no longer working and my doctor wanted to put me on insulin. Since January I could not bring my sugar levels below 200. So for one week I tried your fasting method and my sugar levels are normal. I slowly got off metformin and I feel mentally better, plus so much more.. thank you Dr. Fung. You have given me hope and I’m so much happier 💗

    • Christina Roman says:

@John Comfort I’m not overweight. I know that the medications & wrong eating caused the insulin resistance, memory loss, neuropathy on my feet. Now I am feeling so much better; memory sharper, stomach not hurting, neuropathy on feet has no more pain and so much more.

    • Evette Roach says:

Same thing with me ..I am not going on any insulin

  • D. Dee 2003 says:

I have tried every “diet” in the world. I started fasting May 6 of this year and I’m not sure how much I have lost – but it is surely over 20 pounds and maybe 30. I am down to my high school size and in junior sizes. I’m 70 years old and am pre-diabetic. Haven’t had my blood work yet, but I believe it will be much better. I will eat this way forever. I was snacking all day long prior to starting the fasting – I felt sluggish and tired. Plus with grocery prices and eating only once a day – I’m saving a lot of money!

    • Meri Harary says:

I’ve had a similar experience. I’m 53 and lost 30 lbs by fasting about 18 hrs a day from around 8/9 PM till around 2/3 PM. I also follow Weight Watchers points. I’m 5’1” and weigh 114. Size 1/3 juniors. I feel like a teenager! Good luck with your continued success!!

    • D. Dee 2003 says:

@Meri Harary Congrats Meri – I feel so much better since I lost the weight. I have to say, if a person doesn’t have willpower, this probably won’t work for them.

    • D. Dee 2003 says:

@PuppetJoe I won’t know till next year when I get my blood work done – I hope so too! Plus I drink cinnamon tea before I eat and that may help also.

    • Catherine S says:

Congratulations but I also came here to laugh about the grocery prices. They’re insane

  • Cristii Carrizales says:

I started fasting by accident, and after that first 24 hours I felt amazing! Mood went up, energy was better so far from October 14 to today Nov 5 I have lost a total of 20 lbs. That is a little over 3 weeks. I’m doing OMAD & it’s awesome not to think about food & my choices are much healthier. I hope to keep this habit & make it part of my lifestyle on the long run! (No exercise up to this point but will start taking walks now that weather is nice)

  • Marcus Doucet says:

Thank you Dr. Fung for your excellent advice & info! I am a 37 year old 6 feet tall man from Louisiana, USA. Your online videos saved & improved my life! I suffered with obesity since childhood and tried countless diets but always regained. Until finding your videos and starting 20-4 intermittent fasting on 9/22/21 on that very day I found your videos. In about 14 months, I’ve dropped from 362 to currently 205, 157 pounds & still losing. My ultimate goal is to be near 150 pounds or somewhere between 150-175 I think will be most comfortable for my body. This is a true transformation and I have learned things about myself that I never knew during this journey. Thank you again for all you’ve done and continue to do. Best wishes.

  • Anamosa says:

I don’t know who needs to hear this but I lost 12 lbs in 20 days following Dr Jung’s videos
    He is a blessing !

  • Blessed Virgin Mary Is Queen says:

As a Catholic, fasting for both natural and supernatural reasons is life changing, as Dr. Fung alluded. Did a long water only fast last year– 40 days, ate for a week, then felt inspired to re-start the fast (with doctor’s permission) for 27 more days during the Holy season of Lent until Easter. The physical and spiritual benefits were incredible.

    • Jay B. says:

Just remember not to pray to saints.😉

    • Blessed Virgin Mary Is Queen says:

@Jay B. I talk to my friends, the Saints, everyday, especially Jesus’ Mom, Mary, the Glorious Virgin Mother of God, and His earthly adopted Dad, the great St. Joseph. They’re all great friends– can’t wait to meet them in the flesh in heaven after this short life. You should give them a call sometime yourself– don’t even need a phone to do so! Just start talking to them…. they’ll hear, they’re with God…He gives them the messages!

    • SHEEP SEVEN says:

Hi did you know that JESUS fasted 40 days and hands us the victory you may read the desire of ages by Ellen g white best book written next to the bible on the life of JESUS. Every thing is about His victory giving us the victory. Please be careful not to damage your body temple beyond repair ❤❤❤

    • Blessed Virgin Mary Is Queen says:

@SHEEP SEVEN Our Lord is the model of fasting! What Dr. Fung and the experience of fasting shows is that fasting HELPS, doesn’t hurt, the body. Certainly been by experience. Blessed Easter to you. Jesus is TRULY Risen, Alleluia! And He remains with us, as He said, in the Sacrament of His Body and Blood. The Risen Lord!

    • Jay B. says:

@Blessed Virgin Mary Is Queen  I’m sorry you are confused on what Jesus teaches. And I’m also sorry you don’t practice what he preaches. I don’t understand hiw you can put a person on the same level as God. That’s really sad.

  • Kayla Nicole91 says:

31 year old here. First time on a water fasting and I’m 59 hours in and I honestly feel great. I’ve lost weight before but couldn’t keep it off. I wish I would of known about this method 5 years ago. This feels like a lifestyle

  • ppower2900 says:

This is one of the few videos on intermittant fasting that I found very easy to follow, without getting bored or intimidated with all the biochemical terminology and other complexity. I am 60 pounds overweight and classified as obese. I have wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on diet programs, only to find myself losing and regaining the weight,, a little bit more each time. I was about to give up, and then I found this video. Hope it will help me.

  • Allens Wrench says:

I’ve been doing Keto and following IF for about 6 weeks. I’ve lost 13lbs. I usually follow 18:6 or as close to it as I can. It’s changed my relationship with food completely. I don’t have cravings or bloating, and if I feel weak I watch documentaries about processed food or obesity. It really helps and hoping for more results as time goes on. It is truly a mind Vs belly battle.

I am a 53 year old man that just completed my first ten days of intermittent fasting and lost 17lbs. Thanks so so much Dr Fung.

    • steve shea says:

A huge smount of that is water loss from depleted glycogen.. over 10 days you probably had a deficit of 20,000-25,000 kcal or about 6-7lbsof fat and muscle but mostly fat.
