None of this is true. Ultra processed foods are just very high calorie and very easy to consume with low satiety which leads to weight gain. All of that other stuff is just fancie gibberish. Be honest with your audience Fung.
He is being honest. Maybe you need to find new sources of information.
That’s not what scientist in dozens of countries are saying. But sure, we’ll trust a random none credentialed troll instead.
The science literally says it’s a lots of easy to eat calories with low satiety and you quickly end up in a calorie surplus. That is actually what the science says. If has nothing to do with insulin or hormona response nonsense fung fools his audience with. Your body takes excess energy and shoves it into fat cells.

I think wholesome foods need to be more affordable. Maybe more people would ear less ultra processed foods then.
They are not cheaper because they rot on the shelf with a shorter display life compared to unhealthy food which lasts years without chilling.
Companies that make these foods should be taxed, not the consumer who has become addicted to them. Maybe then our foods will be made better

And they want to sell lab grown “meat” here in Canada!
Depends what we consider ultra processed.
Cause I was at my best health eating 1lb of sausage and whole ham daily. 135lbs effortlessly.
But I rapidly gain weight eating bread or pasta, even homemade types.
I think grain, seed oil, and processed sugar are the top 3 offenders.
I love my cheetos though
