Dennis you need to do blood work at least once a year to know your numbers
What vegans do not undestand is that true herbavores like a gorilla or a cow do not eat very much sugars and starches. They eat fiber; leaves and stems. And lots of it. The fiber ferments into fat then the bacteria that did the fermenting die off and provide protien. We cannot do that. The animal’s liver then provides all the glucose needed.
Hi Dennis. My mom has type 2 and is suffering from neuropathy and numbness in her feet and lower legs as well as some eye issues. My wife and I are both metabolically healthy, but we watch your channel and have learned from you. Praise God, He provided an open door to teach my mom about testing her blood glucose when we were there to visit in early July. She was getting fearful of what might happen to her from diabetic complications. We watched some of your videos with her and she immediately started testing her blood. We tested along with her so she could see our numbers as well. It baffles me how she was diagnosed 1.5 years ago, but her doctor didn’t instruct her to start testing her blood. She has now transformed the way she eats and is consistently keeping her glucose below 140! She has already experienced less pain in her legs and her sleep has improved as a result. Thank you for all you are doing. May God continue to bless you and Benedicta.
You always provide your viewers with good resources on diabetes.
thanks den
CGM’s are fantastic. When I was first diagnosed a Type 2 about 4 years ago a friend of mine who worked in a doctors office got me a Dexcom G6 and after using that I begged my own doctor to give me a prescription for it. It changed my life and for the better. Now they make ones you don’t need a prescription for. Not the cheapest thing in the world but if you can afford them they are worth it in my opinion. I may buy them a few months out of the year now because I pretty much keep my diabetes under control with diet and exercise but on occasion I like to track my sugars for a month or so
