I was putting money in my 401k but started investing in real estate to me that’s a better way I’m now at the point of maybe pulling my 401k to buy more houses faster …

    • @boxingenius says:

U can use your 401k to buy real estate, it’s just a simple tax break concept I don’t get the notion of the curtain being unveiled. This isn’t rocket science in my opinion

  • @victorward3590 says:

Is my Roth ira also at risk?

  • @Cheeseheadhomestead1 says:

How can i get the money out of 403b? In my 40s.

  • @Jay-2024-u5t says:

This video really made me rethink my approach. I have a $150K balance in 401K and a $200K pension, plus real estate. I’ve always been told to diversify, but at 40, I’m questioning whether continuing to put money into my 401(k) is the right move. The returns have been disappointing in a thriving market, and I’ve even considered withdrawing, taking the penalty, and paying the taxes to invest elsewhere. I would have loved to hear Andy’s thoughts on what people in my position should do if they want to break free from the rat race. I think a lot of people are in this boat. Thanks for the insight!

401ks with good matches are worth it. IF you actively follow and manage it quarter to quarter. If you just max it out and don’t manage it your money may be set one way or the other by a big margin the whole time.

The 401k is great for Wall Street

  • @corbind.collectibles919 says:

Is this also considered for roth iras?

  • @empirerequiem855 says:

Tax deferred growth and matching contributions provided by 401k is a real bonus. But that doesn’t make the guest speaker wrong. It does serve the interests of other players as well. Although more specifics would have been helpful.

  • @tamtamjab says:

Add to that the whole life insurance

  • @crazy3rdgen says:

Should’ve presented actual numbers.. talks about maximizing your 401 with an employee match as basically robbery and then the major talking point was the average account holding of 89k.. which obviously that’s not enough to retire.

  • @brettblackmon7307 says:

Learned nothing, maybe I missed it but he never said what the 6 numbers were.

  • @ricofinance says:

A 401(k) can be a valuable retirement planning tool, but its effectiveness depends on various factors, including individual financial goals, investment options, and employer matching contributions.
