Stop Shaming Women for Aging How They Want

Newsflash: there is no “right” way to be over 50. If you’re all-natural, amazing. If you love Botox, lashes, extensions & spray tans, also amazing. Your face, your rules — can we please stop judging other women for how they age? 💁🏼‍♀️✨

    1. Can you reccommend a good makeup strand for my skin? I’m 47 and feel so old and my skin is peri-menopausal skin. I just haven’t felt the same as I did 7 years ago. I have aged alot and have lost my confidence in my appearance. 😔

  1. I’m 66 & remembered you saying “ Embrace the fake”” I love that! I color my roots & do makeup daily & have a skin care routine. I’m an ex beautician , so I can trim my own hair. I saw you doing your workouts with full face makeup & was happy I wasn’t the only one who does that! Working out I was told can make you look 15 years younger, I think it’s true! You inspire me to be the best version of me I can be! I love that you’re on YouTube & I can still follow you . I did all your workouts for years! You’re beautiful & funny & such a great person. Wishing you a happy New Year!

  2. Congratulation. You look great! Nothing wrong keeping yourself up, whether losing weight, trying new creams and make up, hair color, lash extensions, plastic surgey, laser. Nothing wrong with taking pride in how you look. Heck, I would do it all if I could.

  3. I saw a picture today of a celebrity in her 50’s who they filtered to look like she’s still in her 20’s. I asked my husband, ‘why can’t we just age as we are supposed to?’

    1. I don’t even think it’s about looking young….I think it’s more like enhancing the best version of self

    2. @venuselectrificata this, l have a little neighbour enjoying her last Christmas, she’s 15 and palative care have just moved in to make her comfortable. Leukemia. All power to Chalene, she’ll age fresh looking and l love that for her and she’s honest, money helps, but see health, you cannot buy health. I’ll never have the money to revamp my face and I’m okay with that because l know a teenager leaving us before she even gets one wrinkle. Perspective. ❤

  4. Chalene, now that that’s out of the way, can we get back to the beauty tips and the positive vibes. 😊

  5. Some people would like to have surgery and Botox but can’t afford it. Sometimes it’s not a choice but a requirement to go “natural.”

  6. If I had the money to get cosmetic surgery, you damn sure better believe I would! I’m 67, and I think it’s your business, and yours alone!

  7. I really respect the fact that you admit to having work done. I would never have work done, for one it is really costly . I also dislike that people now find aging unnatural There is an unrealistic idea of what aging looks like because most people have cosmetic procedures but don’t admit to it. So thank you for admitting to it . I’ts ok to have work done. Just don’t lie about it. 😊

  8. Aging gracefully doesn’t mean stopping Brazilian wax, make up, exercising or having treatments! totally the opposite it is a stage in life where you use your experience and knowledge to be the best version of you inside and out! So you go girl! I’m w ya!!

  9. I am 64 years old, going down fighting it. I had a mini-facelift at 51, botox, Sculptura, weight training, etc. Saving for a full blown face, neck lift at 70. Thank goodness, I used Retin-A, sunscreen since I was 26.

  10. My pet peeve is when some younger woman writes an article like, ” What women over 50 should not wear.” I’m thinking, seriously? The audacity to proclaim what is acceptable for older women to wear or not. How about we wear what we want.
