  1. If by “reversing diabetes” you mean to one day go back like you were before,I don’t think there’s such a thing….if you haven’t been able to do it,I mean,go back and be able to eat those overdoses of carbs,I don’t think anyone can

    1. Correct it is reversed but you can not eat like an 18 yo college athlete who trains five days a week. However you will most likely feel a little better and indulge a little more.

    2. @@djrondo1224 I wonder I committed by bicycle 3 miles a day to work and race BMX and ran before that until my mid 40s when I got my trucker job that’s when I got Diabetes three years later. Because I had no time to work out. I wonder if I got my number is normal and still went back to training could I eat ice cream burgers fries shakes and pizza? Or will I still go up to 350?😂

      Well as the saying goes everything in moderation… I try eat at least one clean meal per day and sneak in a burger and or pizza once every few weeks

  2. I used to weigh 120 pounds and still got type 2 diabetes… How?? Well amount other things believe it or not the sugar frosted flakes wasn’t sweet enough for me…I used to add more sugar 😢😢😢…go figure it

    1. You still got it? 😮 maybe the frosted flakes and the added sugar among other dishes you ate. Its not just a weight issue

  7. Hello Dennis, I totally agree with you. I too am a person (a woman in my case) with a fat belly but thin arms and legs. I have always been that shape. I remember siting on the bus on my way to school and always holding my satchel on my lap to hide my fat. On the other hand, in the 50s and 60s when I was growing older, slim legs were much admired. 60s Mini skirts when they came into fashion were no problem for me, but 50s wasp waists certainly were.

    I think it is a general problem for most women, that if they can lose weight enough to reduce their bellies they lose their treasured bosoms. I have known quite a lot of women who actually chose to stay over-weight in order to stay voluptuous.

  9. Being fat does not cause diabetes. Eating glucose you do not need causes chronic disease including type 2 diabeted and obesity.

  10. Just to clarify, it’s not possiible to ‘keep an eye’ on visceral fat, as it’s stored around your organs. If you have a belly, then what you can see is subcutaneuos fat. However, high amiunts of visible fat on people suggest they also have high levels of visceral fat! Staying lean was obviously a good strategy, Dennis, but i would suggest to you that going down the gym and lifting weights is also a good strategy – you are likely aware of the positive benefits lean muscle mass has on insulin sensitivity.

  11. I’ve lost around 100 lbs over 13 years, down to normal BMI. If I gain a few pounds now it shows up in my belt line. My neighbor told me the other day he is now diabetic and the doctor started him on insulin ! I shouldn’t have been surprised but I was. From what I’ve seen he is due for a heart attack about any time. He’s one of those ” I ought to” people. I ought to do this or that but he doesn’t. Oh well, you can lead a diabetic to a healthy life style but you can’t make them do it.
