Great!!! I love pasta and have avoided it for years until recently. My dad was Italian so it seemed sad to never eat it again but i look for pasta made in Italy and eat it for a special occasion. Their products are much better than ours.
Yes! Me too!!
If you can find chickpeas pasta in your country. Maybe you can give it a try. According to Justin who did the test, it doesn’t spike as much as normal and wheat pasta. I don’t have a chance to try since chickpeas pasta is not available here.
@ChuChuAndAhBathanks but i just don’t like substitute things for pasta. But this idea might be good for someone else. I’m also not diabetic so it’s not vital for me. I am only having real Italian pasta on occasion and try to have a small serving. It’s delightful!
If you decide to include pasta into your diet, don’t go crazy.
I think it’s good to know this. I’m not a purist. Every once in a while, I’m gonna eat some carbs. But to know what carbs are at least better is helpful.
With your advice, I have managed to teach many diabetics in my country. Many of as are free diabetic now. Kudos Dr. Fung 🙏
Is food combining a factor also? If you pair white rice with vegetables, does that help because of the fiber?
Look up glucose goddess. She explains food order.
It does but eat some vegetables first before the starch
Yes good idea but like other person said eat most of your veggies/fiber before any carbs
What about Ezekiel bread?
White bread spikes my blood glucose by almost as much as cake.
Crazy because it is basically cake without added cane sugar
yeah lol, one bun and my bg spike to 175mg/dL instantly
What about bread you make yourself with fresh grain you have just milled in to flour?
Depends on the coarseness of milling and with what you eat it with
I like sourdough bread 🍞 ❤
I had never 👎 👂 heard of converted rice 🍚 before? Thanks 🙏 for your wisdom 💗😽🫶 I’m using all of your tips. 😎💅🐾🐆✌️💗💛
Choose pasta or low- glycemic index rice over white bread
Does this apply to sourdough as well? I make my own at home and allow for extensive fermentation time
What about whole grain bread?
Would I it help me to get a glycemic chart for comparisons?
Thank you.
When did you slip this book past the goalie! 😅 off to find it on Audible ❤
2day whn doc saw my report it’s vry gud doctor wonder if mange my sugar
Thankyou Dr., i love pasta. You did the work and we benefit.
What about the red or black rice?
Thank you Doctor.
