Let’s go!!!!
I do omad one a week on average, that’s very manageable for me and it seems to help, then 2mad for maybe two days, and i try to eat low carb on the other days- I need to get lower carb still, but it’s helping. 🙂
I always Omad Mon – Fri then 2 MAD weekends as fasting regime and love it have lost and maintained a 70lb weight loss
That’s fantastic, well done. That’s the exact amount of weight I need to lose. Please may I ask you a few questions? Did you exercise throughout the period you were losing the weight? Did you count calories? And how long did it take you?
Did u face hair loss?
I do the same thing. I go to bed with a little hunger and wake up feeling great.
When you say ” fasting regime” , I envision a bunch of like minded government officials deciding not to eat for a while. The word you are after is *regimen* to describe a routine.
Thank you much. Yes it works for me too
😊
I’ve been omad for almost 3yrs, I don’t get hungry or think about food, I find I overeat if I eat more than 1 meal a day.
Food noise does go down after time. I was actually surprised.
I’ve been on OMAD since 2005, but that was due to a bad lifestyle of smoking and being a workaholic. Then discovered I am prediabetic and started low Carb/Keto 9 years ago while continuing with my OMAD, and I quit smoking. It’s been a game changer. I also do HIIT and weight lifting 3 to 4 times per week while fasting, then have my OMAD in the afternoon. Love it!! I also fast for 36 to 48 hours every 1.5 months. It’s great for people to try incorporating OMAD at least 1 go 2 times per week if they can and have no issues.
You are now in normal range of hba1c from 2005??
I’m mid 40s and have been pre-diabetic for a few years off and on…yes an on and off relationship with foods lol…I started skipping breakfast a few years ago when officially diagnosed but have been reading lately that diabetics SHOULD have breakfast because skipping it can lead to a higher spike when eating lunch. I consider my lunch my brunch, if that makes sense then a protein small meal then dinner. Still unsure if I should have breakfast and a later lunch but still don’t want to push dinner out too late.
@HamnaNadeem-nq9xt I cannot tell you from 2005 because I never checked… but since I started low-carb in 2017, I have been doing well, except for a couple of HbA1c readings where I was not, and it was triggered by stress and a relapse into eating high-carb, ultra-processed food.
@Texas_CruiserI know what you mean.
Ultimately if I decide to deviate from doing my OMAD on any of the days, then I’d still aim not to have any meals before covering 18 hrs of fasting so that takes me into noon time for my 1st meal which would be something like cottage cheese with Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) with 1 avocado then 3 hrs later I’d go for Rib eye steak cooked in butter and big bowl of green lettuce salad with tomatoes and apple cider vinegar + EVOO followed by small cup of pecans or walnuts and a cup of decaf coffee with sugar free almond milk.
This way my eating window is limited to 3 hrs which I like to keep whenever I wanna change my daily OMAD routine.
It’s particularly hard to build muscle with OMAD.

How much you need?
It comes and goes. I’m learning how to work with “hunger” so if it means little “meals” some days that works better than constantly thinking I’m Hungry ❤
I eat once a day , I love it . I Lost 90 pounds intermittent fasting. In one year . I eat healthy Ps. I’m no longer hungry and as time goes by you don’t get hungry anymore.🤗🙏🏼
Works for me perfectly. Has been for 8 years. My meals are low carb/keto/carnivor.
I have fasted for as long as 30 days water only. It feels like my metabolism went down and I regained the unwanted weight super fast. How can I increase my metabolism during a water only fast?
🎉🎉🎉
I find it really hard to eat enough food without over eating. When I eat small meals, I never feel full then I go for more than I’m over full.
Check out Dr Mindy Pelz especially for women – hope that helps.
Worked/worked for meeee!❤
Small meal at 11am like an Avocado and Sardines or Eggs.
Dinner between 3-5pm.
❤
I have been doing OMAD for 9 years and keto for 10.5 years now. Works well I can never go back to old ways. 🙂
I’ve been told that PCOS women shouldn’t do longer fasts because our cortisol is already high.
