  1. I wonder if the GLP1 meds can be a problem that way. They slow down the digestion, to keep you fuller longer.

    1. I definitely believe so. I’ve been on Trulicity for 3 years. I’ve been Type 2 for 24 years. This video describes my numbers I’m seeing on my CGM.

Delayed stomach emptying is a new concept to me. I love it when you teach me something that I never knew before. I will feel smarter (and maybe a little smug 😂) for the rest of my day, Dennis!

  3. Hi Dennis i first heard of Gastroparesis in people who take the weight loss drugs wegovy /mounjaro, they were having this as a side effect.

  4. Gastro is a prefix which relates to the stomach AND the intestines.

    Proton pump inhibitors eg
    1) Lansoprazole,
    2) Omeprazole & many more, can cause gastroparesis (slow emptying). They are well known to delay gastric emptying.
PPIs prevent the intrinsic factor & B12 from doing their jobs.
B12 is found in meat, fish, eggs and dairy. NOT Plants.

Other studies show PPIs may lead to overgrowth of bacteria in the intestine and they consume your B12. Not you.

This has been a reminder of how the body works.
I was trained in the 1960s I knew the intestines did the nutrient work. The stomach was the grinding machine.
    😊

  5. Thank you for the information. My husband passed from cancer a few years ago but almost the whole time we were married he had the symptoms as you explained. Several years before he passed he was diagnosed as diabetic. I’m now noticing the same pattern in my grown son. He is showing signs of hypoglycemia, then high sugar signs later on . That would definitely explain it. Sometimes I feel doctors are useless. They just want to give you a pill for everything and it only makes it worse.

  6. Have you seen the studies that show cooling down starch for a certain amount of time and then reheating it shows that it doesn’t raise your glucose as much can you test it on one of your videos please and thanks. (Potato, Rice)
There are also studies about eating food in a particular order such as eating meat and veggie before the protein and it should cause your levels not to spike as much or as fast can you do those as well on your show?

    1. Rice 150 grams 5 oz 10.1/2 teaspoons of sugar.
      Potatoes 150grams 5.oz 9. 1/2 teaspoons of sugar. 😮
      The body only tolerates
      1 teaspoon. 😢
So any boiling and cooling, & reheating is not going to make that much difference, even if true. May delay.

      Do your own testing.
      Got money? use a CGM,
Not got much money? use Mike the meter. Both from Amazon.

OR if in UK and diabetic, one free CGM from Abbott.
CGM, Told me I go hypo while asleep. No longer do no food for 4 hours before bed. Eat small amount of protein before bed. On no drugs so can’t lower them.
