Thank you for another live, Dr. Fung.
Oh my goodness i say the same thing when fasting..burn baby burn! Lol
My husband has been type 2 diabetic for about 7 yrs now. He recently went to get his bloodwork’s done and was told by his GP that his reading was 5.9. His blood pressure was great, his liver function was great, his cholesterol was great. All of this from his results yet the GP still gave him his diabetes prescription. Does he still need to be taking Metformin with these sort of results?
The doctor can prescribe it all he wants. Your husband taking it is up to your husband, whose gonna know whether he takes it?
Dr Fung, have you ever covered fasting and peri menopause?
YES!!! I am a 64 year old American woman living here in Yokohama, Japan ( near Tokyo) & we do say ” hara hachi bu— eat until one’s only 80% full. I used to think that Japanese portions were so small! Now, after being here for 40 years, I’m used to eating smaller portions
I live in Tokyo 😊it’s good to see someone in Japan also interested in fasting
Just into my first 24hrs. Don’t know how long I can go. Everyone is going out to dinner and of course I was invited. Then Jason shows up in my feed for the first time since??? I listened to him mention his four day effort and it renewed my strength and resolve. Burn baby burn!
Thank you for all your hard work and research! I so appreciate all you do and have done❤
I cannot thank you enough Dr. Fung. I was able to improve my health through applying what I learned from you, Dr. Jamnadas and Dr. Bikman about fasting, insulin and the myriad effects of insulin in the body.
I can now wear large sized garterized pants (Asian size) from upper 3xl size since March 2024 after 11 months of doing intermittent fasting. My weight loss is slow but I am happy with the results. I now feel far better and in a lot better place than how and where I was where my health is concerned a year ago.
I am 58 years old and I do 18 hours of fasting most days. Sometimes I do 20 hours, OMAD and 3 day water fast every 4 months. I also reduced my carbs, specifically rice intake. I’ve since given up eating rice based delicacies; flour products like cookies, noodles and all other flour products (I eat bread rarely); root crop based delicacies (I eat root crops rarely); fruits except avocado; and, sweets like chocolate.
So far I have lost 60 pounds. I’ve got another. 50 or so to go. Fasting has worked beautifully. It’s really been the most beneficial thing I have done. I really appreciate your books. I look forward to the update to The Obesity Code. I don’t have diabetes, but I have recommended your diabetes book to people. I know that do have it. Thank you for all you do
I really appreciate you making a point to make your clinic and educational materials accessible to more people.
Doc Fung, your face looks soo YOUNG. Can you share to us your skin care routine? 😍😜😅
I focus on the benefits of the ultimate goal. Atophagy, human growth hormone, and T cell production. I do 72 hr fast every 4 months.
I always tell myself “Hungry is where the magic happens”
It’s magic.
It’s where the magic happen.
I control my diabetes by cutting rice , bread and refined sugar from my life on the saying of Dr.fung.
Thank you for everything Dr Fung! Lost 95 lbs in 2024 and it all started with you. Much Gratitude 🙏
So sorry for the nasty experience you had with Doctor Mike. His argumentativeness and negativity was embarrassing to watch…. and you did a great job with him.
Thank you Dr fung-you have helped so many people-❤ after listening to you I finally knew how to lose weight and no longer was a victim to the eat less move more information that has been out here for years. All the best to you!!🌸
Poor Dr Fung, first being hacked, then worse, having to remain diplomatic on the subject of a plant based diet. Everyone I know on a vegetarian/vegan diet looks sickly, weak, thinning hair and pale pallor. It’s just not an optimal diet, unless you want to increase mortality that is.
Everyone I know on a “normal” diet looks sick, fat and can’t lose weight… There is no ideal diet. You always have to manage your micros, macros and minerals.
I’m carnivore for 6 months now. I feel amazing and don’t need the handfuls of expensive supplements. 53 and my cycle has come back too (not sure how I feel about that but my body is so much healthier).
We appreciate you Dr. Fung! ❤
It is so so so good to have a mentor like you. I’m in the middle of 53 days I gave myself to commit to good hard fasting (as I have done before so effectively) and get “me” back and seeing this video this morning is my favourite thing ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Dear Dr. Fung. You are an absolutely genius MD and an amazing scientist. What you meant for the field is truly groundbreaking. The educational mission you are on tilts it to yet another level. Thank you for everything you do!!
