I’ve been using Castor oil for years for many benefits. I started with Castor oil packs on my abdomen and liver area and wow……what a magical oil! Then about a year ago I started using it for my skin. It faded my dark skin spots so quickly and they are barely visible now. I add a bit of rosehip oil (and a couple drops of frankincense essential oil…both are great for aging skin) to make it glide on easier. I actually bought a pretty glass bottle to make up a serum just for my face. I have a big glass pump bottle with just pure organic hexane free Castor oil for ease of use. I highly suggest you try it! I even use it in my eyes for my dry eye syndrome…..approved by my optometrist who I thought would nix that idea!

That’s amazing to hear! Castor oil seems to have so many benefits. Thanks for sharing your experience!

    • @kath897 says:

@@olgaerendirahernandez5393you can drop it into your eyes or just rub it over your eye lids & it penetrates into your eyes

@@chalenejohnsonif you love the way C-oil fights inflammation, an maybe you’re already in on this secret?
      But have you tried Serrapeptase?

If not, it’s a wonderful supplement derived from silkworms it has so many benefits my favorite one is obviously the way it fights inflammation it blows turmeric out of the water! I can’t even feel or notice turmeric.

      I can’t live without it!
I feel like it’s a medication to me!

Castor oil is awesome, it does lots of amazing things. It does not however increase the width of the face or lengthen it like the side by sides in this video suggests.

Yes maybe not cater oil alone but combined with facial lymphatic massage I have seen great results

I mix castor oil in my homemade lotion. I blend castor oil, shea butter, coconut oil and sweet almond oil together. I use it all over my body. I’m your age and I have gone through menopause. My skin was so dry and adding the castor oil to my lotion was exactly what I needed. It’s baby soft and glowing. I do use the castor oil from the bottle on my face. Allow that to soak in and then put the lotion blend on my face. I just started the lymph massage. Excited to see results. I’m definitely breathing better through my nose.

    • @chalenejohnson says:

Oh my gosh… This is amazing. It sounds like something you really need to sell! Take my money!!

That sounds amazing!! I love all of the great products you use in your lotion, just not sure how to combine them correctly 😅. Would you mind sharing how you do your measurements for your lotion?🙏🦋

  • @blondeegirl00 says:

I tossed my expensive skincare and only use castor oil. It’s reduced scars and helped my skin not look so crepey.

    • @chalenejohnson says:

That is freaking amazing! I haven’t tossed mine yet, but I certainly noticed I am heavily relying on my castor oil

  • @Vanett77 says:

It’s embarrassing how much of this stuff I go through. I’ve been using it for almost 3 months now and I see a huge difference in my skin. It’s also helped a ton with my achy joints. Its a miracle oil for sure

    • @chalenejohnson says:

Right…Question ~ Do you find it kinda sticky? Also, what brand do you prefer? I’m currently loving Queen of thrones, but I also add scented essential oils so that it smells good too.

    • @Vanett77 says:

@@chalenejohnsonomgosh yes so thick and sticky, sometimes I have to wipe off access lol I’ve been using one I found on Amazon by JMac Botanicals. I’m ordering another bottle today, gonna size up to 16oz. Wish I could buy it by the gallon lol

    • @carteahylton8570 says:

Hi, how do you use castor oil for your joints?

    • @Kindness-wins says:

@@Vanett77do you use it straight or with lotion all over your body? Does that help your joints too? Thanks!!💜🙏

    • @Vanett77 says:

I initially bought the castor oil when I read it helps with aching joints because I have arthritis in my left knee due to an injury. After a week of just rubbing it on my knee I noticed a significant difference. My joints used to ache and crack very loudly now not so much. I apply it every night and morning, just by rubbing it directly on my knee. I also started applying it to my face and my skin looks more youthful and supple. I apply to my tomach and navel every night and I noticed that it helps with bloating and irregularities. It also help get rid of a callous I’ve had on my toe. So many wonderful benefits

  • @mariepowell1195 says:

Chalene, you are hilarious! Thank you for being yourself and not apologizing for it. I look forward to trying the castor oil.

  • @katherinesmith2365 says:

I mix wheat germ oil with myrrh and frankincense for my face and avoiding my eyes. Under my eyes just plain wheat germ oil. After it soaks in I go over it with castor oil. Love it! Ben doing it for a while. I haven’t used moisturizer in years. I’m 49. I do still use vita a and c too.

  • @alainamesser6626 says:

As a practioner certified in Vodder manual lymphatic drainage, I want to point out that face massage and gua sha are not methods of doing actual lymphatic drainage. It’s a happy byproduct of releasing tension in the muscles and fascia, but when we push down on the skin, we are collapsing the lymphatic vessels and not “pumping” lymph. I’m being a stickler about this because when people learn how to perform true lymphatic drainage (which is feather light touch), it is powerful! Imagine even better results, not just with your skin, but your entire body’s wellness.
Leah from Lymph Love Club is a fabulous educator on the lymphatic system and would be an awesome interview for your channel. 😀 Love you, Chalene.

    • @chalenejohnson says:

Well, first of all… I wish everyone who had this kind of knowledge was also as gracious in how they communicated! Thank you so much for this explanation

    • @alainamesser6626 says:

@@chalenejohnson Thank you. I should have mentioned that I love the massage technique you are doing! And yes, it works! It’s just different than doing lymph drainage. Thank you for sharing. Face massage is literally magical!

    • @alainamesser6626 says:

@@floridanativelh568 Yes! Lisa is a lymph queen! Lisa, Leah Levitan of Lymph love club, or Dr. Perry Nickelston are fantastic educators of lymph and how to perform it for ourselves. It’s a game changer for our health and skin.

  • @elizabethg9171 says:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the main reason that everyone is saying to buy only in a glass bottle is that the castor oil is so strong that it breaks down plastic. All those pumps are made of plastic! It’s convenient but defeating the purpose of the glass bottle, unfortunately 😢

    • @sarahlynne4528 says:

You could swap the plastic pump for a glass dropper instead

    • @kris6395 says:

Actually castor oil is known for its ability to extract and reaches deep into the body. Meaning if it’s in a plastic bottle it is extracting those harmful chemicals from the plastic and then your putting it onto your body. It can really mess with the female sensitive system and really isn’t good for anyone if it’s in a plastic bottle. So very important for it to be in glass!

  • @kristinekerr3688 says:

I too have been using Queen of Thrones castor oil which I thought checked all the boxes. Today I learned that it does not. It is expeller pressed, not cold pressed. I will now be switching to the Heritage brand, which does check all the boxes.

    • @linda.ll.7744 says:

Glad to hear this. Thanks for sharing. I bought Heritage from the get go and that just boosted my choice.🌿

  • @deepestwell says:

I am only 52 and I have/had the worst degradation of my skin on my forearms, it turned to tough like leather texture, liver spots, pot holes, etc. So bad that when that when I tried to exfoliate, it would bleed!! This seemed to happen almost overnight. I kid you not, within seven days of me using Castor Oil on my forearms improved at least 50%!!! I couldn’t believe it because I was like you and thinking that I was just stuck with it. I also have bad inflammation in my body and when I generously lather it all over my body, my pain level decreases quite significantly. I think you’re right when you say it’s proof of God. Good work sister!

  • @LifeNBeauty50 says:

I have been using castor oil for about 2 months religiously at night. I agree with you 100%. It’s amazing!

  • @nancymantell5311 says:

You didn’t say although I’m just past the mid mark, but for myself whenever I use any kind of oil on my face and body I dampen my skin so that the oil will spread more evenly plus the damp skin with the oil also helps to lock in the moisture. I’m sure you do as well. Maybe the 2nd half you do mention that. If not it’s worth mentioning. I feel it’s important. I’m 74 and was an aesthetician while living in England. Hope you see this comment. I have recently gotten some castor for arthritis in my knees. Need to look that info again. Thank you so much for your information. You look Absolutely Fabulous

    • @chalenejohnson says:

oh wow!!! This is such an important tip… it’s true… and I didnt realize this was a tip, but I put it on often when my skin is still wet after the shower and it does go on much easier!!

I know, right!? I went 77 years! Starting my third week tomorrow– already amazed!
