I have lost 62 pounds following a low carb diet. I think you are such a good resource for those of us trying to change our lives for the better. Thank you
Congratulations! Do you eat nature’s carbs like sweet potato, root veggies and low glycemic veggies or are doing keto?
i developed chronic tiredness, brain fog, dermatis on fingers slow healing, eye fog, hypoglycemi effect after 30 of start of exercise in gym on low carb diet, just veggie frozen and meat, i did not cout calories, yes i lose belly but then problems starts.
β@deathamdx6 what problems start ?
Happy New Year to you and your Family, dear Dr. Fung. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom with all of us. Your teachings have changed my life for ever and for the best. I am in the best shape of my life at 60! Wishing you all many blessings in 2024.
Thank you for uploading, Dr Fung. I have been a supporter of yours for years. I lost approximately 140 lb and I have kept it off. I started at 330 (after being disabled and requiring numerous surgeries) and am now under 180. I am healthy and able to workout, bike, and most importantly do the things I want to do.
My goal is in the area of 160 pounds depending how I feel when I get there. It could be more, it might be less.
I have shared your videos and books with more people than I can count. Your work is saving lives.
Refined carbohydrates, processed food, vegetable and seed oils, added sugars, this is what the majority of people eat in developed nations. As a result our health has degraded and the number of medications virtually everyone takes has increased.
We have to turn this around and your work is helping increase awareness. I practice law and share your work with everyone whether it is relevant to the topic or not! If someone needs this information I try to make it available to them.
A happy and healthier New Year to everyone
good job. I lost 13 pounds from 130 to 117. I was not overwait but I want a better fasting glucose.
Congratulations ππ! What an inspiration for others! I too lost 160 lbs. by following Dr. Fung and reading his books. I’ve shared both several times.
You are so right, sadly it’s up to us to spread the word and be examples of the success. Be well ππ
ββ@@jessicajohnson4087Hi Jessica! We have commented to each other in the past. We’re both women, probably similar age and we have both reclaimed our health! If you lived in the Seattle area we could be friends.
I’ve been struggling a little over the holidays. That and world events have me under a lot of pressure. I might have had a little gelato (I shared a single scoop) last night when we went to dinner at a local steakhouse and I may have even had a drink! Still, it breaks keto.
I think the key is to be kind to ourselves and when we do eat other things, to enjoy it and not beat ourselves up and then return to good habits the next day.
Congratulations on your achievement, you’re doing great and you will continue to. Have a wonderful New Year.
Well done to you! πππ
@@busylane9548 Thank you so much!
Such a lovely man. I could watch his TED talks over and over again. Happy New Year Dr Fung x
Thank you so much Dr. Fung!!, I can’t see my life without fasting now, blessing to all!!! Let’s have a healthy and fun 2024!!π
Glad you are making videos again. Thank you for your work. You helped me shed 55 pounds of excess and change my lifetstyle. Happy new year!
As always Dr Fung, your information is spot on! appreciate you taking the time to educate us and lead us to better health in a simple way! forever grateful! ππ
Thank you so much for your teachings Dr Fung. Your research on insulin resistance and intermittent fasting opened the eyes of cutting edge doctors, and in turn brought the knowledge to all those that bother to look for a solution for their health issues. I wish you and all your loved ones a fantastic New Year π₯³π₯°
Thanks for posting Dr. Fung. You are saving lives… like mine! I’m 60 and I lost 160 lbs. by reading your books and watching your videos and lectures.
I’m loving my keto/fasting lifestyle π₯°! Thanks again
That’s really incredible! @jessicajohnson4087 how did you start and what was your regiment for fast and feast days?
71 year old male. Went from a 42 inch waist to a 32 inch waist. A1c of 4.6. I eat a very low carb, >20 carbs a day, some days 0 carbs. No processed foods, no seed oils, no sugar. Just finished up a 10 day water fast.
Youβre a beast!
Why not eat any carbs?. Completely live in a restricted world
You had diabetes?
Know what is restrictive? Hauling around an extra 100 pounds.@@davidgreene8608

Thank you for your guidance. On January 2 I will celebrate 5 years of 100 lbs weight loss. I am 64 year old woman living in Ontario Canada. In 1977 I was in high school and taught this. I suffered weight issues most of my adult life. At 58 I finally learned how to eat for my health. It is so good to have found a medical professional that speaks the truth about this disease.
0:26: π Cutting refined carbohydrates may help with weight loss and overall health, contrary to previous dietary guidelines.
3:59: π The video discusses the issue of meal replacements being marketed as healthy but containing unhealthy ingredients, and the link between nutritional advice changes and rising obesity rates.
7:17: π₯¦ The video discusses the impact of refined carbohydrates and fat on weight gain and heart disease.

I started following Dr Fung’s advice and lost 44 pounds. Unfortunately, I lapsed in my low carb IF habits and regained part of that weight. I’m back on track again and look forward to successful weight loss and just feeling so much better overall.
I am glad to see new videos with Jason Fung. Need to watch, watch, and watch again to stay focused on my health.
Alternate day fasting and you lose 10 pounds fat in. Month
You can do it! Sometimes we fall to learn how to get back up again. We believe in you! β¨β¨
Entirely eliminating carbs is a game changer for many people, abstain from the addictions for the best results.
Agree! Focus is so important. You got this! πͺπ» Happy New Year of health and staying on track to all of us! π
@@andyc7747Exactly. Once carbs are for the most part eliminated all cravings stop for me. The switch is turned off.
Your video on diabetes reversal was THE reason I was convinced I can reverse my diabetes if I cut down on carbs. I did exactly that and reversed my T2 DM within 3 months, with zero exercise, and of course without the toxic disease causing pharmaceutical drugs.
Thank you so much Dr Fung and have a most healthfully influential year ahead.
How did you do this ? I am on low csrb but still couldn’t reverse the diabetes?
@irfansohail1977Β Keeping total carbs below 20g daily is a “prescription strength” Therapeutic Carbohydrate Restriction ketogenic diet.
Liberal low-carb (<100g) is better than high-carb diets, but for chronic diseases, a higher reduction of carbs will yield a higher success rate.
Love all your videos. Ive been Fasting 18 to 22 hours a day for 4 years now! It’s because of you. Also, I’ve been a vegetarian over 30years. It has always been about health for me.
Happy Ney Year π At 63 I’ve been told I’m pre-diabetic and that I’m almost obese going by BMI on the Asian scale. I’ve bought The Obesity Code & The Diabetic Code plus have been listening to all your videos that I can find. I am on a mission to prove to my VA provider that Metformin is not the only option! Thank you Dr. Fung.
Thank you for mentioning the french paradox. I started gaining weight when i moved from france to england and started eating more potatoes and white bread. Now i have reverted to a heathier diet with more fibre and very few carbs combined with an occasional 3 day fast. I have lost 16 kg and look forward to 2024 and my 70th birthday!
Hi Dr. Jason! I wish more doctors are like you. I reversed my diabetes after following your advice. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing, Dr. Fung. My doctor recommended your work to me. I went from 192lbs to 162lbs. It is simple, I viewed numerous videos of your work, and then I made my charts accordingly to what foods can be eaten, when and how, it worked wonders. Like anything it’s take some adjusting at first. I was in tuned by day 8…β€
Happy New Year Dr Fung. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge about how sugar, processed foods and starches are unhealthy! I love your videos and your books!
