The story of the Trojan Horse is widely considered a myth, not a true historical event, according to some historians. While the city of Troy was real, and there’s evidence of a war there, the specific tale of the Trojan Horse is more likely a product of storytelling and perhaps a misunderstanding of ancient siege warfare.

“History is a pack of lies about events that never happened told by people who weren’t there.” – George Santayana

There are also plenty of “keto-friendly” products that will still get you into trouble. So we are not going to run out of Trojan horses anytime soon.

When you talk about the one and a half cups of cereal Dennis. Don’t forget the carbs in the two cups of milk you must add to eat it!

    Excellent information

Dear Dennis , I wonder how many grams of carbs in my cup of ( trojan) fresh home made Yogurt with Splenda that I have daily as my dessert after lunch. Should I continue or stop?

Anything which is PACKED & PROCESSED in Factory is Definetly NOT good, Stick to Home made SIMPLE dishes

Another spot on video. There are huge Trojan horses, & there are small tiny Trojan horses that are almost as bad. Example, Keto bread with ONLY 4 grams of carbs per slice. A sandwich would only have 8 carbs. Great, right? Mike says wrong, leave it alone. A 70 point spike sure takes the fun out of eating a sandwich.

Odysseus (O-dis-see-us). One of the best in storytelling ever!

Great video – I love that you gave the background story of the Trojan Horse! Wouldn’t it be great if, as part of elementary school education, students were taught to estimate volume sizes? 1/4 cup, 1/3 cup, etc. I mean, until you use a lot of recipes you may have no idea what 2TBS or 1/2 cup really looks like.

I know it’s still 9 net carbs but I’ll have one slice of this 9 net carb bread with a meal from time to time. But I eat about 50 net carbs per day now. Used to do 20. Got hyperthyroidism and I feel a bit better with a bit more carbs: Simply Nature Seedtastic Organic Thin-Sliced Bread. Ps…Not blaming keto for hyperthyroidism. It was a major stressful spring and summer. Anyway, if you allow yourself a few carbs that bread is pretty good.
