  1. I agree this is great news, I feel vindicated because I’ve been following your advice and eating like this for years. But even better… now it will (hopefully) be implemented in schools, hospitals, nursing homes, etc.

    1. Humans don’t need any cow’s milk. It’s very strange and the calcium is difficult for the body to process

    2. ​@adrianl7147Fermented milk .. yogurt, skyr, kefir, is a very healthy product. Especially if it is homemade full fat.

    I wish the new plan recommended fermented foods (kefir, kimchi, natto, yogurt, etc) as well as mushrooms and sea vegetables.

  4. The new Food Pyramid is an astounding success of the invaluable work of people like you Dr. Fung, Dr. Bikman, Nina Teichholz and others. I’ve been following this insulin-aware lifestyle for 3+ years now. Bootstrapped with weekly 72 hours fasts, then doing OMAD as a lifestyle, and gradually transitioning into keto, with incredible overall health improvements. This reverted pre-diabetes and NAFLD, eliminated my decades long chronic migraines, stabilized blood pressure, no more crippling depressions… Can’t thank yall enough, and especially the person who initially encouraged me to try fasting back then to improve cognitive capacity. I was oblivious of all this. Never heard of it before. Now, I know. The more people learn about it, the better for all of us.

  5. Dr Fung was one of the first to be vocal about this, many years ago. He’s a brave doctor and stands up with integrity. Integrity is lacking in most doctors, most are bought off by big pharma.

  6. It’s probably the only thing that makes sense coming out from the US these days (even though I do not care for Bobby jr’s antics). But I’d rather listen to Dr. Fung and other trusted medical professionals who know about the recent science regarding nutrition and health. Looking fwd reading The Hunger Code 🎉

  7. The pyramid was retired in 2011. The previous guidelines was My Plate. The pyramid on point replaced my plate.
