Why is it less effective to skip breakfast?
Because the studies say that metabolic results are better for an early day eating window. It likely has to do with circadian rhythm and burning through any excess carbs during a more active daypart.
I think he said just the opposite.
Skipping dinner is my solution to eating too late in the day.
I’m doing intermittent fasting, but my uric acid has suddenly increased significantly. Now I’m experiencing some pain in my leg/foot, although I haven’t developed a full-blown gout attack yet.
What should I do now, doctor? Please help.
😢
So I’ve done I.F. for 3.5 years. I don’t skip either one. I delay eating in the morning till 10 usually but may stretch that to noon at least one day a week. Somewhere around 1-2 I will have something small with a hot cup of tea. Supper is a larger meal and I always have it over with by 5:30 to 6:00 pm. I’m on maintenance now.
OMAD ❤
I am on that too, tho the purpose was to do the 16:8, but do to my schedules..it just turned into omad. I do eat freely on weekends do to social things, and thats why i dont actually lose weight.
So accurate 👏
Eating early while sun is up , we eat about 4pm to 5pm
Ask yourselves: Who “INVENTED” those 3 Meals?
Consume, Consume, Keep Buying, Keep Buying.
We should eat ONLY WHEN WE’RE HUNGRY (not to confuse with CRAVINGS).
I recommend to avoid Dinner.
Plus, we can´t compare people from the 90s, 80s, 70s, 60s…that were always active, to most of today´s people that are most of the time sitting down looking at a screen scrolling and typing in it. Watch old videos and you will notice that 90% of people were thin.
And the “quality” of today´s foods are nothing, compared to food from decades ago.
I do OMAD but no weight loss
I have same situation. I am sure my reason for not losing weight is that my weekends are free eating. And i do eat a LOT, and don’t specifically love salad and other healthy stuff, sadly
On a daily base I stop eatimg by 4pm or 5 pm . I LOVE IT!
Sleep better too.😊 ” Early birds” 😉
I have had pancreatitis for years since i was 21
And due to this (even eating clean and healthy for the past 6 years) i developed pre diabetes and EPI
Doctors are still not telling me much
What should i do and how should I eat with this issues as i am jot supposed to take high fat/ high fat protein/ eggs
I had been on keto/ carnivore for the past 2 years to gain weight
Please help
Skipping breakfast is the best and easiest solution for me. It’s practical and i can automatically extend the fasting time which coming from sleep.
Same for me
For many years I would fast in the morning. But it was easy because I had busy mornings and was too distracted to notice. Now that I’m retired, I find it much easier to fast from midday until 8am the next day. I really enjoy a slow morning, relaxing over a casual breaky. I allow myself one evening meal a week, which is for social reasons (family gatherings, meals out with friends etc)
I’m a third shift worker, and have been for over 35 years😢over 50 so I sleep during the day and up at night…still looking for a balance
Check out Dr Mindy Pelz especially for women – fast like a girl – hope that helps
I have a physical job. I find it hard to miss breakfast and dinner. I can’t eat at work no lunch break
Respect sir, I have been suffering from prediabetic 6 years, two years back i done
Keto diet , 110 days , loose 16 kgs body weight, and HBA1C from 7 to 5
Know again my HBA1C is 8 , now kindly advise prediabetic I need to revised prediabetic kindly advise sir
Agree. Retired. Eating light breakfast at 10 am. Finishing lunch by 3:00. Skipping dinner works best for us. Early Dinner is only for social reasons. 0-4x per month. 😊 We don’t get hungry for dinner.
I usually skip breakfast but yesterday I decided to eat breakfast and close my window at 430pm. I thought I’d be waking up starving… I didn’t. And, my sleep was a lot better than usual. Didn’t get the 3am alarm to go pee either. 🙄
Absolutely right we can prevent cancer too
First person I heard say skipping dinner is “better”
