  1. When you refer to “fat” be specific… plant fat(oils) are bad… say ANIMAL fat to plant that seed and folks understand the differences. ty

Per Dennis’ dad, “the man with an experience is never at the mercy to the man who has arguments”.
If you’re convinced that fat is the devil, it’ll be difficult to beat diabetes. Everybody knows that lowering your A1C, reducing carb intake and lowering your fasting glucose level can be achieved by going on a low carb diet.
Blessed holidays to you and Benedicta!

  3. Dennis did you ever hear the saying “Those that can Do, those that can’ t Teach”? You are one that can, most professors are those tht can’t, so please keep up your good work!

  4. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, and thank you again. Hi there, I am 65 years old. On August 10, I turned 65. And on August 13, I had a stroke. I was admitted in the hospital for a few days, with high blood pressure , high blood sugar, and high cholesterol. My a1c was 10.2. Blood pressure was topping over 200. They sent me home with metformin, high blood pressure med. And 20 units of insulin, daily. After crying for a few days, I immediately started researching YouTube. Everyone had a different opinion about all of it. I was 5’11 and around 180. The doctor told me I was in pretty good shape. And didn’t need to lose any weight. Just to lay off of the sweets, and take my meds on time. Well a couple of weeks later, when I seen my new doctor, she saw my glucose numbers, and cut my insulin to 10 units in the morning and 10 at night. 2 shots a day in the belly. Oh ya. Then I ran across 1 of your videos. And that day, I was convinced that if I really tried, I could at least improve it some. I was already walking 2 miles in the morning 2 to 3 times a week. But I started walking almost every day 2 miles, and I would do it about 45 minutes after a meal. I always loved candy, bags and bags of candy. And bread, I could make a sandwich out of everything. It was very very hard for the first month or so. I had headaches at night when I would go to bed, and never had headaches in the past. I finally, after researching everything I could, figured out that it was withdrawal from the sugar. After a few more weeks, the headaches stopped. The doctor told me to monitor my glucose a lot more. She is the best doctor in the world I do believe. Don’t tell me stupid stuff and actually listens when I tell her about myself. She told me that if my numbers start dropping, to start going down 2 units on the insulin. Well about 3 weeks in I went for 10 units of insulin twice a day to 8. 2 weeks later down to six. 1 week later down to 4. The end of Nov. I quit the insulin. I was waking up to numbers in the 80s. Well I went to the doctor yesterday, and I absolutely couldn’t believe what she told me. My a1c was 5.4, my blood pressure has dropped significantly, my cholesterol numbers were all good. And I had went from 182 pds. To 168. She kept looking at all the numbers, and even ask me if I planned on the weight loss. I told her yes. And told her the best thing that she prescribed for me was the continues glucose monitor. I would check that thing constantly. Before I ate, after I ate, and at leat every hour. After about 2 weeks writing down everything I did, and everything I ate. I started to figure out just what I needed to stay away from. Now it’s more bacon and eggs for breakfast instead of a big bowl of cereal. I haven’t had a slice of bread in two months. And the weird thing is that I don’t even crave it or the candy anymore. In fact my doctor said that the way its looking, that before very much longer I will probably be off of everything except a Staton to just keep my cholesterol in check, because of the stroke risk. I actually thought I was basically done. I was so ready to just give up. But I’ve always been bullheaded, and try to win at whatever I do. And after watching a few of your videos, I was convinced that I could improve. I feel the best I have in Well over 30 years. And I’m not going back!!!!!!! I love the way you explain everything and don’t use a bunch of fancy words to make it sound good. You tell the truth, and as I know you are aware of that’s something that nobody hardly does anymore. Everyone wants to sugar cote things, and even if you are messing up, no one will tell you, because they don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. So once again, Thank you. I tell everyone to watch your videos, even if they are not diabetic. I’m in the 5s club baby!!
