    1. That doesn’t work for everyone. I work out 5 to 6 days a week and eat healthy and I stay at 215 lbs. I’m starting a GLP-1 because I need help.

    2. So true. You don’t need a drug… you just need to love and prioritize yourself above all else. I lost 150 completely naturally… if I can ANYONE can!
My friend did the drug and lost weight but also lost her hair along with many other horrible side effects!!!

    3. stopped sugar, snacks, fast carbs, do exercise, etc – on bih but keep putting on weight. now checking thyroid/hashi‘s… so no, sometimes you do everything right and the weight doesn‘t budge. it‘s extremely frustrating!

    1. I loved phentermine but got addicted as it was like uppers. Diet pills in the 70, 80s, we’re so available 😮

    2. @kcloveonaleashMom misses the energy she had. She forgets that her memory was post it notes during that time.

  1. I have been waiting for this video!!! I am a bit overweight about 20 to 30 pounds. When I heard about this the first thing I said is I’m not jumping on that bandwagon until I find out what the side effects are and we won’t know what the side effects are for a while because you can’t know right away because the first year everybody excuses them and makes them out to be nothing !! It takes time for things to really come to light and to know all the actual side effects! ❤so glad I didn’t do this❤

    1. I also for months had considered GLP ones but then once I started doing more research and found out potential side effects like cancers in the body I decided not to go on that bandwagon. But what I did do last year was decided to go on a calorie deficit I installed an app on my phone to log everything that I ate followed a couple of health and fitness influencers on both insta and FB and in 4 months I lost 28 lb. I did give up all fast food, all candy all ice cream any of that sort of stuff not that I over ate it but it was a part of my life. On occasion I’d allow myself a small Dr pepper but for the most part all my food was prepared at home. Once I started losing weight and feeling better about myself and watching my clothes fall off of me, I also no longer had heartburn and was able to get off of my CPAP machine. At first trying to stick to 1500 calories was a bet challenging until I learned how to eat clean and make my day more about protein, a little bit of healthy fat getting, in that fiber. And in time I found it challenging just to get in 1500 calories lol. And I did no exercise during this 4 months and was able to lose weight simply by eating clean and eating less than I burned in a day. Those are my tips!

    2. That line of thinking shows your level of intelligence!!!! I think holding off for the next 2-3 years until more is known is a very very wise move!!!

  2. It’s insanity! People are literally forgetting that diet and exercise ******actualy**^**work!!?!!! 😊

    1. They only do so much. I’ve lost 70lbs three separate times in my life. It always came back until these meds. Now I’m down 100lbs (40lbs was before the meds), and have kept it off for 4 years. At least for me, it wasn’t that I wasn’t eating right, lifting weights, walking, and doing cardio.

    2. I agree 100%, I watched on this video one gal saying she lost 10 pounds in two months…..good grief, you can do that with diet and exercise really safely.

    3. You still need go calorie deficit and you have to exercise while being on a GLP-1 medicine.
It is even more important to keep your protein intake high and to do weight training since you eat so little and you want to avoid muscle loss.
You can not eat like a maniac, take a glp-1 and think you will lose the weight.
The meds work on insulin resistance, appetite and feeling full and satiated, reduce food noise to mention a few example.
They literally enable you to do what it takes for weight loss.

–> “Normal” people have this already, they feel full, they feel satiated after eating, they don´t think or crave food every second of the day. it already works in their bodies.

  3. I think in 5 or 10 years we will really see the fallout of the damage these drugs have done to the body. My sister is on one and it is terrifying to me.

    1. I agree I know some of these drugs have been around a long time but the application in this manor hasn’t been…

    2. I think about this as well. It’s only a matter of time. There’s no way that playing with your metabolism won’t have consequences!!!

  4. My mom is a RN and she always told me if I wanted to loose weight and keep it off is to eat like you have diabetes. She said get a cook book for diabetics and you will look and feel amazing…

    1. Most people who actually have diabetes have pretty bad eating habits. So if they can’t do it, how can the general population. Maybe the better advice is to eat like a person should who has diabetes.

  5. Not even 15% muscle loss is acceptable let alone 50%.

This is the next opiate epidemic. Pharmaceutical companies don’t care about you and they control the doctors.

I would literally prefer my mother were on stimulants than this (which is bad).

She calls me in the middle of the night…. so weak from lack of food that I literally have to come over and feed her. She’s more depressed and harder to be around.

  6. I stood my ground with the .25 Wvy( lowest dose) for only three months. Took heed from experts and used it for a tool to get control of my health . Since then, I lost 40 ,have Intentionally gained muscle for the last year and a half and now in the best shape of my life at 68.

    1. @leslieleslie1284. Thats awesome! My doctor put me on Mounjaro a little over 10 mo. ago. I fought him on it for six mo.before giving in, because I felt like complete crap. I had pre diabetes, fatty liver, hypertension, and major inflammation. My body hurt and I couldn’t even walk or exercise without my legs and ankles hurting. I’m now at my goal weight, 50 lbs down, and feeling great. Menopause and hypothyroidism did a number on me and no amount of will power was working. I also went on HRT. At this point, I DO NOT care what the naysayers think, it has saved my life!!
I honestly think that people that are thin are jealous because being thin is all they have, and now that others are getting thin too, they don’t have anything to feel “special” about now, lol. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

    2. I am 55 post menopause, 5″2′ and started at 183. Been on 2.5mg of tirzepatide for 12 weeks, and I’m down 13 lbs. FINALLY, eating healthy and exercising are actually working! In addition to that, as I am getting stronger, my balance is improving!

I really think if you’re doing the work and not expecting miracles, GLP-1 can be very beneficial.
DO YOUR HOMEWORK before starting this medicine, and you will have a much better outcome.

  7. Semaglutide does not work for everyone, and that is not being told. I took a compounded Semaglutide from Midi for 5 months. I did not lose weight on this drug and gained 15 lbs within 2 months of being on it. I had zero appetite on a microdose, extreme debilitating fatigue, severely swollen abdomen, shortness of breath, blotchy eye sight within 15 minutes after injection (each time). All of my side effects cleared up only 5 days after stopping this miserable drug. There are natural supplements that are safer and work well for many.

    1. I hear you– I got flagged for saying vaginal dryness– sexual health for women/eating disorders– would love to be able to not bleep it out.

  8. I did intermittent fasting and it works. I refuse to use drugs.. you just never know the long term effects.

  9. Oprah Winfrey was on the View last week literally saying, If you’re still trying to lose weight with just willpower alone you’ll never lose it. Of course she’s on there selling her book that’s out. That was a horrible thing for her to say. Yes people have a right to take what they would like to help. I remember fen-phen and how that ended up. I also have a friend’s family member who passed away from blockage taking GLP1. But to have Oprah flat out say you will never be able to lose the weight without it was a horrible thing to say. All about the money in my opinion. Thank you for your video.

    1. @MillennialMegI’m glad it’s helping. I’ve dealt with “food noise” for most of my life, going from anorexia to bulimia to binge-eating disorder, beginning at age 12. I’m now 56 and have learned how to help myself and to quiet the food noise. Discovering what works for ourselves is life-changing. ❤

    2. What gets me every time is why people pay attention to celebrities? Who the hell are they?

I learned to research on my own, and ask my doctor questions. All of this helped me to make informed decisions.

      I don’t go seeking celebrities. 🙄🤦‍♀️

    3. I hear you. Absolutes like that can feel discouraging. Medication can be helpful for some, but it isn’t the only path. Informed, pressure-free choices matter most!

  10. People want to lose weight and still eat fast food. The majority aren’t interested in a healthy lifestyle.

  11. I grew up in the 90s…where nothing tasted as good as skinny feels and heroine sheik was all the rage….im 51 and refuse to go back to those times….after a double cancer diagnosis and almost dying twice this year….you just move beyond this insanity

    1. I’m really glad you’re here. What you’ve been through matters, and surviving cancer changes how you see all of this. No one should feel pulled back into those days.

  12. Oh Chalene!! I love how you keep it real with all your girls here. I just started Trezepatide w glycine a few months ago, and to tell you the truth I did not want to watch this video…BUT I knew I should be informed. I have heard of the issues with the gallbladder and other stomach paralysis possibilities, but the blindness!!! Holy cow! And overnight!!! Really frightening. I’m glad I watched and I’m so glad you care enough to put out the not so popular viewpoint of the GLP-1s. God bless you girl!
