  1. developed without internet & yet still can utilize the internet & technology, we’re the ultimate hybrids, very versatile

    1. I’ve noticed a lot of the newer generations are glued to their phones but don’t actually know how to use it to their advantage past just scrolling away on socials.

    2. Well said. Another post had the question:
If you could go back to the 80’s and/or90’s and leave your phone behind would you? ❤😂

  2. Where do I start? I mean, we are multitaskers, strong independent (yet team players if working with others). We respect our elders and use Mr. Or Mrs. when we meet our friends’ parents. We have a strong belief system where political or religious topics are concerned. We ate generally well-rounded human beings 😉👌

  3. Because Boomers raised them. 😂❤. I love how outspoke and independent my kids are. They’re wonderful humans…. My Gen Xers. Love ‘em.

    Raised by single mom
    Latch key kids
    Not coddled
    Given a voice
Opinionated (sometimes to a fault lol).
    Strong
    Resilient
    Independent
    Problem solvers

    Gen X is great!

    1. I love boomers. You changed the world, and now you’re changing ageing. You and we didn’t get everything right, but we got some things right.

  4. We somehow turned our generational trauma into superpowers. We turned the food/medical industry upside down from the crap set up by our boomer parents. We are currently holding up/caring for the boomers while still raising and helping our millennial and zoomer kids!

    1. I love this. We definitely had trauma. Our parents were raised by WW2 and Korea veterans with PTSD and some of us had fathers and uncles ho fought in Vietnam. Alcoholism was rife.

Honestly we were a blip of a generation. Squished between two very bold generations: Boomers and Millenials. Gen Y are our cousins.
Oh and… for good and bad, our generation developed the internet. I went to uni with those dudes, telling me all about it. Voice recognition stuff in the mid 1980s, virtual networks, the whole thing.
But yeah, we are just another generation. This is just fun talk.

    1. I remember being scared of potential nuclear war.
I do feel sorry for later generations. But I do look at them and think, “I NEVER would have behaved like that when I was that age.” Ask my parents and they may disagree.
There is an arrogance and yes, an impatience to get rich quick that I dont remember having.
I never had a new car until I was 45. I bought my asbestos riddled 1940s house when I was in my late 40s.
I rented and saved for a deposit between age 18 and 47.
Still, I would hate to be young now. I think the youngsters have inherited a bit of a mess that we’ve left behind. AI scares me a lot. And global tensions and a massive political shift to the ultra right in places.
I dont mind Conservatives even though I’m not one. As long as they support free and fair elections, and we ALL support non violence, and we have a live and let live attitude to our fellow citizens and allies, then I’m good with it. There is too much hate, fear and anger in the world. And that happened on our watch, sadly.
Peace, friends and fellow Gen Xers. What a youth we had, hey?

  5. We got all the worlds! Outdoor survival, gardening, fishing, hunting, swimming, internet, social media, we know how music SHOULD be made, some of us know how to play actual instruments, the list goes on!

  6. Last of the best generation in all ways. 🎉 They were simpler times. We actually had to make effort to spend time together and enjoyed. Social media, is in my opinion, Anti social.

  7. Rollerskates, bikes, no internet, used our brains to study, discover & research subjects, operated pay phones, pagers & and an answer machine. Oh & “Be Kind, Rewind!” Blockbuster on Friday nights for the latest movies 🎬 on VHS!💕💟

  8. No one did our Homework or Work For Us If we got an F It was the Proudest F Ever Because We at Least Gave it A try.

  9. Best music, clothes, because they had to bring them back in style ❤😂dance moves all the things. Plus we had to learn todo things using memory, no internet to look it up
