Melanie’s version:
1 egg
3Tbsp almond flour
1 Tbsp olive oil
.5 tsp baking powder
Salt (me) or garlic salt

2nd Batch:
For the second modified batch, I made it as before but I substituted one tablespoon of golden flax seed for one of the tablespoons of almond flour, I added about a quarter cup of sunflower seeds, and I used garlic salt instead of the regular salt.
 
My Chaffles
2 eggs blended
1 tsp of baking powder
1.5 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
2 quarter cups of almond flour
1.5 quarter cups of soy flour
3.5 quarter cups of heavy cream
Mix it very well
Bake 4 – 5 minutes in wafflemaker

    I have been using low carb /no carb tortillas to make sandwiches and like them. I am going to give the chaffles a try for buns+waffle substitute.

    I eat sola , autumn harvest or there is a frozen bread called zero carb at Walmart that is pretty good. I tried the Chaffle and it was so eggy I couldn’t eat it.

      Investigate. “Serious Keto” Very informative. He tries out a lot of keto recipes including bread.

      I was surprised to see soy flour. I’ve tons of flours but not that. Maybe we could try lupin? If you try coconut use about I think 1/4 the amount of almond.

    I’ve used almond flour for over a year once i looked at the percentages compared to white (25g carbs to 3!)

    *RECIPE* I make what I call Waffle Bread. I have a deep Belgian Wafflemaker (makes 4). For each batch of 4 I use: 25gm coconut flour, 1/2 Tblspn psyllium husk powder, 1/4 tspn salt, 1 tspn baking powder, 4 beaten eggs and 100 gm melted butter. They freeze well. I recently made a batch of 24. I add the dry to the eggs and mix then mix in the butter.

    Since I live in Texas, near Ft Worth, I regularly buy Braum’s Carb Watch bread. It’s husband approved. And the price is only $2.99 a loaf. I always toast the bread. Have you ever tried it?

    is only a theory , but Moses lived 120 and was cut shirt. his dad and granddad lived over130 years old. but the Israelite lived 60 years old if they was 20 year old leaving Egypt.
    if bread was the main coarse, then they had diabetes maybe . only 2 tribe live over that. remember its only a theory

    Hi Dennis. I beat an egg, with 1/4 Tsp baking powder, Black Pepper, mash in 2 Tbls Fetta cheese for the fat and salt, and add 4 heaped Tsp of Sweet Lupin Flour then grate in 1/2 cup of cheese and chop up with the fork. This makes 2 chaffles. They taste great! Better than bread. Good for a bacon sandwhich! Sometimes I add Chicken Pate if I want it savoury.
