Grant is basically saying relationships are transactional and if someone buys your meal or anything you feel you owe them. This is 100% how I think. If someone did get something for me, I always repay with extra so they can’t come back after saying I owe them something. I never ask for help because of this reason. Relationships are transactional though sorry if you thought otherwise
