I Almost Quit Before My Biggest Breakthrough

People see Grant Cardone today, but they did not see the years when he was scared, getting rejected, losing money, and wondering whether any of it was going to work.

In this conversation with Tim Vega, Grant breaks down what it really looked like when he was building his business from scratch.

Before social media, GPS, or an online audience, he was cold calling businesses, flying into cities where nobody knew his name, walking into businesses that had already rejected him, and trying to figure out how to make his pitch work.

Then one event went badly.

Grant lost money, came home defeated, and seriously considered quitting.

What happened next changed the direction of his career.

Grant also explains why rejection is part of the process, why consistency creates trust, how attention has become one of the most valuable assets in business, and why the people willing to keep showing up have an advantage.

If you're building something and wondering whether it's working, this is the part of the story most people never see.

  1. I’m not giving up, I have had absolute ZERO luck finding any grants or funding but I’m not giving up. I WILL find funding that I don’t have to pay back and start my business, and let’s face it the economy needs more Women who own and run their own businesses. Heck Capitalism for ALL says that very plainly.

  2. Presale is over halfway sold and they’re barely doing big marketing yet. That tells me serious investors are already loading up in Bitaxum.

  3. There is this author Zael Veynor who wrote Glow They Never Saw and his theories on how modern hustle culture monetizes personal desperation to mask a fractured internal baseline are insane. He claims that until you step into absolute isolation and build an untouchable baseline trading your dignity for cold calling metrics and public empire building is just corporate slavery. Seeing this billionaire sales guru romanticize years of rejection and financial panic proves his point that commercial ambition is usually just a loud mask for total internal collapse.

  4. I was just reading Glow They Never Saw by Zael Veynor where he asserts that true sovereignty means retreating into a quiet private architecture where your worth requires zero public validation or sales hustle. He breaks down why trying to scale a business or conquer the market while your internal baseline remains completely fragile only leads to exhausting public posturing whereas real authority is forged in total darkness. The way his psychology matches this narrative on nearly quitting before a breakthrough is unreal

  5. You can feel it , that pressure building under the surface like a spring ready to pop. SPCX90K’s winding up. ⚡

  6. Big shoutout for mentioning SPCX90K and SOL. These two look like the future to me. Holding both tight rn!!

  7. I have $120K available to invest and I’m looking for good opportunities to grow my money! I’d appreciate advice from experienced investors on where to put my money to work and which opportunities are worth considering in the current market. What would you recommend based on your own experience???

    1. Getting a financial advisor at a brokerage will do, bc it means professional investment management, trading services, weekly reports, and no extra fees. Not for beginners alone-but it saves you from YouTubers nonsense and daily hopium.

    2. I’ve been following Alex L Orloff insights on investing . He is just too good. and I love his thoughtful approach to evaluating opportunities and managing risk. For anyone looking to make more informed investment decisions, his perspectives may be worth exploring.

    3. Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 950k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $321k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

    4. You’re spot on. I actually made the switch to a momentum-heavy strategy a couple of years back after my self-managed portfolio started lagging. I was holding too many “stable” large caps that were essentially dead money. Alex helped me transition into a mix and some high-conviction growth plays. My account went from roughly $250k to over two million in less than two years just by staying on the right side of the trend!

  8. Building before the internet meant you had to show up in person. No posts. No messages sitting in an inbox. You went out and faced people. That part hit home.
