Wow! Thanks Dr. Fung for this topic. It’s really helpful for a lot of people with pre diabetic like me. 🙏🏻

  • @yolandagriffith6851 says:

Thanks Dr Fung this is very helpful indeed!

  • @Rakingclaw4 says:

Love this for patients because there are so many suboptimal (bad) to ‘better’ options they can start small and build as they gain some momentum.

Your videos are very concise. Thanks so much!

So many excellent tips! Thank you!

  • @deepost2604 says:

I’m wearing a Stelo for 2 weeks. Tried eating a sweet potato loaded with butter, after it spent 24 hours in the refrig. This zoomed my glucose up to 180 in a spike that lasted 3 hours. I heated the sweet potato. That probably was an error. The butter didn’t slow it down enough to keep me under 140. I’m taking this as a sign that I still need to be careful about starchy carbs.

    • @bodinski100 says:

He does say that potatoes lose all their resistant starch when re-heated…cold from the fridge for rice and pots…add oil and or butter, and a splash of ACV…doesnt spike me at all….#ireversedmytype2

    • @cudgee7144 says:

Everyone of us is different, what works for you may not work for me. So all these broad sweeping statements can be dangerous and very misleading. I have tried all these hacks about cooking then cooling and measuring MY blood sugar responses. None of them work for me, so i just gave up eating any starchy carbs. So you may need to be very careful about starchy carbs as you stated.

    • @goodhealth3020 says:

@@bodinski100you mean eat the 24 hrs refrigerated rice without heating to prevent insulin spike? So hard to eat cold rice without microwaving, sigh!

    • @golfergirl67 says:

You’re like me. None of these tricks work for me. Same with so-called net carbs.

    • @deepost2604 says:

@@golfergirl67I have been working for 9 months to lower my glucose base reading. I read that this can be accomplished in 4 weeks.
my response..NOT on this BODY. I listen to the hacks and then TEST. What is my reality? Still running an average of 108. It’s not awful…I’ll keep working and see how long it actually takes me to get in the 90’s.

  • @adrianna1289 says:

Very interesting. Thank you dr Fung. I am not diabetic but I want to eat well and prevent diseases in the future.

    • @MichelleBlackChannel says:

Love that mindset — prevention is everything, especially after 40 when our bodies start responding so differently.
Curious — have you noticed any early signs that made you want to dig deeper (energy dips, belly fat, cravings)? That’s usually what gets women in my world curious too.

    • @adrianna1289 says:

@@MichelleBlackChannelBinge Eating, no help from a doctor. So I ended up doing my own research. Found Dr Fung on YT, read his books… and years later I am here. Doing OMAD and learning everything about holistic approach to health. And I love it. ❤

    • @MichelleBlackChannel says:

@@adrianna1289 That’s amazing, Adrianna — it takes real strength to take things into your own hands, especially when you feel dismissed by doctors. ❤
OMAD can feel empowering, but I’ve seen many women over 40 hit a wall with it (especially when hormones, gut, or stress are out of sync).
Curious — are you feeling good with it right now, or are there any symptoms still lingering (like stubborn belly fat, sleep issues, cravings)? Would love to hear what’s working for you so far!

I’m really sorry. I was in a similar situation 15 months ago. I had only two months to live until a friend told me about a healer who helped me. She cured me—I don’t know how she did it, but I owe her my life. She’s the reason I’m alive today.

  • @SeniorhealthystoriesHarold says:

Amazing insights, Dr. Fun! 🙌 I never realized that the order of my plate (protein & veggies first, carbs last) or a post-meal walk could make such a huge difference to my blood sugar. I’m excited to start adding vinegar to my meals, cooling my rice for resistant starch, and timing my dinners earlier. These practical tips feel totally doable—thank you for sharing! 🍽🚶‍♂🍚

Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It’s quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.

    • @joelnelson8561 says:

Tripz Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Australia. Really need!

    • @AngelGarcia-ei8eb says:

Yes , Voltshroomies. I’ve personally struggled with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction, and I can attest that mushrooms have been a game-changer for me. They’ve played a significant role in my recovery, and I’m grateful to say that I’m now clean and sober.”

    • @peishancraken says:

I wish those were more accessible here.
Microdosing was the next thing I planned for my husband. He’s 59 & facing many mental health issues, probably CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma for 8 days. Sadly, I had to get a TPO because he’s 6’6, over 300 pounds, and displaying violent behavior, always talking about hurting others. He’s really aggressive. If anyone out there knows about BPD, is it common to have an obsession with violence?

    • @joelnelson8561 says:

Is he listed on Google ?

    • @AngelGarcia-ei8eb says:

‘ Voltshroomies’, a renowned figure in his line of work. I recommend researching his credentials further.
