What I don’t understand is why it was necessary to have a prescription for this things in the first place… it’s not like it’s some sort of drug

  • @Sweetrose333 says:

I just checked they are sold on Amazon, too 😊

  • @Hiker_Mike says:

I just put on the Stelo CGM yesterday. I quickly learned my blood sugar fluctuates A LOT and it’s not from my LCHF diet… I think it’s from 5 hours of exercise that I do almost every day. I really enjoy exercise, not sure how I’m going to solve this problem, I don’t want to stop exercising the way I do because I feel great! I just learned black coffee spikes my blood sugar, WOW! Been drinking coffee for decades, had no idea it can spike some peoples blood sugar!

    • @greentokyo says:

Apparently it’s the caffeine in black coffee which causes the spike, even if there’s no sugar added.

    • @joshtoten says:

Yeah, caffeine spikes me like crazy and exercise does too because when you exercise your muscles use stores glucose which spikes your blood sugar. Can’t do much about it sadly.

    • @cymeriandesigns says:

@@joshtotenI think exercise also raises levels of the stress hormone cortisol, which spikes blood sugar.

    • @camilledefreitas6818 says:

@@greentokyoit’s the rise in cortisol when you drink the black coffee I feel

    • @camilledefreitas6818 says:

@@joshtotenI think it should be a good thing when exercise uses up the glucose in your muscles (spike) much healthier!

  • @midris12 says:

the title gave me wrong impression, I though breakthrough off finding treatment….

  • @colleenbaptiste98 says:

My thoughts exactly, why did they ever require a prescription? I will be forever grateful for Beat Diabetes and Dennis, I will look forward to the day when I can afford a CGM until then “Mike” will be my trusted friend😂

  • @persophone4554 says:

Mike the meter has a competitor! An Olympic gold medalist for the diabetic!

  • @larrywhitt1649 says:

I have a libre 3 it changed my life.

  • @Gapeachsami says:

Dennis this is fantastic news! Praise God!

  • @cymeriandesigns says:

Got my Stelo yesterday and put it on 16 hours ago. It’s going to be a game changer. The only drawback is it will only give readings down to 70 mg/dl. If you want to get readings down to 40 mg/dl, you might want to wait for the other nonprescription device, the Libre Rio, which is due soon.

By the way, the “one time” is a month’s worth, like the subscription. You get two 15-day sensors. Just in csse anyone thought “one time” meant one 15-day sensor and therefore twice the price of the monthly.

  • @rubygreta1 says:

$99/ month. But the great news is you dont need it after a few months. You are now well educated and know what you can and cannot eat.

  • @rubygreta1 says:

Dennis, your videos haven’t popped up on my feed for a long time. You look incredibly healthy!

  • @rosefern1483 says:

    Wow 🤩

  • @johnmadany9829 says:

I can’t order the CGM yesterday but I can order it today
    Great message!

  • @zenane2012 says:

Greetings from Ethiopia. Great news. Thank you, Dennis.

  • @issacgenaroazuasr161 says:

    Money money money

  • @bigjohnd1973 says:

I would certainly rather have the marathon runner (CGM) than the sprinter (Mike the meter). I do use Mike the meter right now, but I have to constantly be aware of when to test. The CGM would be great to have, but $89 a month added to the budget is not easy. There are some things we could trim financially to make it happen. I look forward to your review of it when you’ve had some time to test it out. You have helped me so much, Dennis. I have great respect and appreciation for you and your channel. God bless.

  • @rosebailey3537 says:

Thank you for your continued great work. God be with you.🙏❤️🙏

That’s wonderful news. I was Diagnosed with diabetes June 2024 and I’m 73 and have been pretty healthy all my life till now. My A1C was 11.3! That sure scared me!!! Yesterday I watched your video on the ADA A1C calculator and tested 5 times yesterday and I’m now at 7.3. My dr wanted me to take Metformin and one other drug. I said no thank you and he was shocked. I’m trying to do this by myself. Hopefully I can get back to normal soon. One day at time. Thank you so much for your life saving videos. God bless you and your wife and have a blessed day ❤
