  1. I think this is the way to go. I’ve been quiet and researching and overwhelmed with the pile of apps recommended for podcasting. Thank you for posting

  2. Riverside ended up being really unreliable for us and REALLY expensive (like they quoted us $1,175/month and we went with their lower tier pro subscription instead) to get features that had absolutely no reason to anywhere close to that expensive.

As for reliability we had really important interviews that just straight up failed and we couldn’t use the episode. Cost us a bunch of money because of the lost content.

I will absolutely admit their bitrates & quality were the best we could find, but that means all of nothing if we can’t even use the episode because of failed meetings.

    1. @StoreytellingTarot These kinds of things where you lose the content are the worst thing that can happen in my opinion because we often only get one shot to record with certain guests. Was Riverside unwilling to make this right?

    2. I didn’t get a response back after I told their team. We just left the service and chalked it up to a failed experiment.

  3. Looks like this does a lot of what Descript does plus more. Descript can be unreliable with lots of outages. Do you see that with Riverside?

  4. I host private webinars for construction companies… the amount of apps I needed before finding Riverside was huge. This is a lifesaver.

  5. I’ve been using Riverside for over a year and I also use it for client work and it’s easy to use and the features are good for the price.

  6. I’m learning Riverside, but still using Descript to edit a radio show i do on the Catholic Radio Network. The final audio needs to be 27min 45 sec. With Descript I can easily add music and “slide” the timeline to hit the time. On Riverside I can add 5 sec increments. On Riverside is there a way to adjust the timeline in small 1 sec increments?

  7. It’s so crazy to reflect on how we did podcasts 5+ years ago. Great video and fellow Riverside fan here!
