Mr. Dennis as I was fasting I checked my blood sugar and it read 48 and I had no symptoms whatsoever. Though mid to high 40s seems to be on the low rage. What are your thoughts or anyone in the comment section. Good morning to everyone and God bless us all

Consider that your meter is broken. Get a second test. Plus, like the other commenter said…. “eat something fast.”
Thank you Dennis! Excellent podcast!
Greetings from Ethiopia. That was really very inspirational. Thank you, Dennis.
That’s also my experience, once you’re insulin resistant the chances of it reverting back to teenager insulin sensitivity levels is highly unlikely. However, with years of proper diet and exercise you can respond better to that ice cream cheat snack than you did several years ago.
That is a 3 month average of 82. Not unheard of. Puts him somewhere in the 10th to 25th percentile. I would say he has become very insulin sensitive. He should ask his doctor to test his fasting insulin from now on at each checkup. May be good to use a CGM as well. Have to assume his doctor tested his A1 so any insulin stimulating medications are being managed.
Other explanation for such a low A1C is a high turnover of red blood cells like frequent blood donation.
