My friend has pre diabetes. Her doctor tells her to eat ” low carb veggies AND LOTS OF FRUIT “. Notice, there is no mention of meat at all ! She turns a deaf ear to me whenever I try to help.
You can only change yourself!!!
@kennethwoolard5910What I hear you stating, Kenneth, is that we are not to EVER lift a finger to try to help someone, SINCE they can ONLY help themselves. I find this statement rather arrogant and uncaring. MY THINKING is that as long as God gives me ability to share common sense knowledge to a person in need of help, that there is ALWAYS a chance the person will heed the advice and change their lifestyle. ” We share……but the CHOICE is theirs “. NEVER will I be so arrogant as to thumb my nose at them and turn my back .
@carolcole570 You heard what you wanted to hear!!! It was your mind!!! Your mental programming!!! I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2009!!! I have talked to many people about the condition! A lot of people don’t want to change!!! Remember! “Your friend turned a deaf ear to your help!” My dad died from diabetes! He had heart, liver , and kidney failure! I changed my future!!! Look at yourself and your reaction to my comment! I struck a deep-rooted chord within you!!! Sorry about that!!!! What is your history! How many people have you changed! Look at how you reacted to my comment! I was one of the very first people this man interviewed for this channel! I told a medical doctor about my own progress! The man was so excited for me! As soon as I said why don’t you tell your patients this his attitude changed! Medical doctors are human!!! They can get tired of telling people the truth until they get blue in the face!!
@carolcole570 I think he is saying the person holding the fork has the final decision about what they eat. Not the friend down the street or the doctor at the clinic.
Enjoyed the video!!!! Love the new eyeglasses!! Great video quality!!!
Thank You for this inspiring Beat Diabetes video. I am Prediabetes. And I am taking things too easy . I took like carbs but taking quite a lot of sweet Mixed Berries beverages. Your video is inspiring to me . Ya, I need to cut down or totally avoid these sugary drinks. Will start now itself. I will be going for annual Blood Tests Check-up in May, 3 months from now. I have 3 months to keep to low carb n low sugar and will see how it goes in May Blood Tests Check-up. Thank You, Dennis. All your videos are encouraging to take low carb n low sugar. Good Day to You.
I had pre-diabetes then it turned in to type 2 diabetes I tried all the diets none worked. I am not overweight. Doctor put me on.Mounjaro and my blood sugar is perfect and no side effects.
I have been eating that low carb over a year and still have diabetes. I’m also taking COQ10 to clean the fat out of my cells and Nattokinase to clean out my arteries.Dennis, you need ro state that everyone is different. Nobody is the same.. I fast between 16 and 20 ours, I eat eggs, sausage and cheese for breakfast, and a salad with cooked meat for an early dinner. I also walk for 30 minutes after each meal. Let’s also let you know Im 5’1 and 136 from 265lbs
Its because beside low carbs, you may hav eat fruits snacks in between or you did not observe time restricted eating habits . I followed. dennis habits & low carbs diet, im fine without metformine for last 4 yrs. My AIC avg is 5.8-6.2
@omaralkadree3177no thanks. Have you taken your meds today? Especially the ones that keep you out of the psych ward?
Keep at it. Get a glucose meter and test yourself after meals to see what makes your blood sugar spike, then eliminate it from your diet. Some foods have hidden carbs.
@darkwood777-v2hI have been doing that every day. You people aren’t telling me what I already know, done and have researched. I check blood sugar before and after meals, and also my blood pressure.
Make a comment on this post about what you eat for meals and when!!! A knowledgeable person will comment and point out the flaws that you are making!!! Don’t eat fruit, for example!!!! Don’t eat honey!!!! Get your serum insulin tested!!!! You want your insulin to be low!!! Good luck!!! You are on the right path because you were guided to this video!! You are looking for help, so help will find you!
A lot of nutritionists mistakenly push a food pyramid (high carb) diet or a vegan (no animal fat) diet for diabetics instead of a low carb or no carb diet. Folks, listen to Dennis. He knows what he is talking about.
