Good morning Ben & Den 🤗
🥀🌟🥀 Mike the Meter: My bestie for life! 🥀🌟🥀 Per author Janice R., “Eat to your meter!” 🥀🌟🥀
Thanks for the history lesson! 🎈 Yes Dennis, take credit for your understanding of the use of the meter. Only you present the real skill of the meter through your videos. And no one should leave this video early!
Thank you, Dennis, for saving us all those days of uncertainty and wandering around in life! You’ve given us the tools to beat diabetes! Mike says you’re doing a great job! Thank you!
🥀🌟🥀 Per Dennis, “In life, you have to have a referee.” In reference to diabetes, the referee is a CGM or a glucose meter! 🥀🌟🥀
Well said Denis, Mike the meter, this is why I chose to learn from you! Big thanks.
Good morning Dennis. I have to disagree with you on this topic? There’s two ways to learn: the easy way and the hard way. The easy way is to learn from others. Also know as education. The hard way is to learn everything first hand for yourself. I don’t need a meter to follow a low carb diet. I test my blood once a year and my A1c is my preferred indicator for how my blood sugar is doing. It’s dropped from 7 to 5.0 in two years of low carb, intermittent fasting and high intensity intervals training.
Thanks for sharing and all those, including me! You have helped!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Amen! Mike the meter tells the truth. Thank you for bringing the difference!🙏🏻
Thousands of thanks, Dennis ! I repeat what I mentioned earlier , you definitely deserve an honorary PH D from University of Texas for your outstanding fruitful efforts to educate those with Diabetes world wide.
In the field of Industrial Engineering profession , we repeatedly stress that “ If you can not measure it , you can not manage it” , and this applies to controlling Diabetes.
Without “Mike,” you can’t even keep score. The proof is in the pudding, but don’t eat the pudding.
An accurate reliable glucometer is a good motivation referee. First use it to discover how certain foods affect their blood glucose by doing 1- hour postprandial testing and then use it for over 6 hour fasted testing to decide when it is appropriate to eat a meal.
Thanks for your continued encouragement,Dennis
That’s the Engineering approach. Thank you for your great work.
I can’t afford a meter or CGM or the supplies needed for them. So, I eat almost 100% carnivore. At basal level, the adult cardiovascular system has about 5 grams of glucose. 5 grams is one teaspoon. So, eating a teaspoon (5 grams) would double my blood glucose.
If the carbohydrate corporations want me to eat more carbohydrates, the carb corps need to make CGMs and their supplies free via insurance or free clinics.
