Weight Loss for Women – best diet for perimenopause
When it comes to Weight Loss for Women, counting calories is simply not enough. Food contains more than just energy—it contains hormonal information that tells your body whether to burn calories for fuel or store them as body fat.
In this video, we break down the science behind female hormones, perimenopausal weight gain, and the exact dietary strategies proven to help women lose stubborn fat while reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease by nearly 30%.
Why do so many women experience sudden weight gain and stubborn belly fat during perimenopause and menopause? It has nothing to do with a lack of willpower or discipline. As estrogen levels drop, women lose its natural appetite-suppressing effects, and body fat begins to
shift from subcutaneous areas (hips and thighs) to dangerous visceral fat around the abdomen.
Backed by a major 12-year JAMA study of 38,000 women and real-world clinical data, we explore why a Low Insulin Diet is the most effective approach for perimenopausal weight loss, diabetes remission, and long-term heart health. Plus, learn why maintaining adequate protein intake is
critical to prevent muscle loss (sarcopenia) as you age.
In this video, you will learn:
● Hormones vs. Calories: Why Calories In, Calories Out fails women and how hormones control fat storage.
● The Estrogen Effect: How the menstrual cycle and perimenopause impact your appetite by up to 500 calories a day.
● Visceral vs. Subcutaneous Fat: Why menopausal hormonals shifts lead to belly fat and increased heart disease risk.
● The Best Diet for Perimenopause: Insights from a 38,000-woman study comparing Low Carb, Mediterranean, Plant-Based, and Low Insulin (EDIH) diets.
● Protein; Sarcopenia: Animal vs. plant protein digestibility and how to protect your muscle mass and bone strength.
● Heart Health; Diabetes Remission: How a low-insulin ketogenic approach lowers 10-year cardiovascular risk by 28%

Great info!!!
Had a bad feeling it was going to be low carbs, fasting lifestyle 😂
Lol
well sorry but it works. like a charm.
@themadpenguin00no it doesnt…not for everyone
@debiwillis9045i don’t know anyone it doesn’t work for. it’s hard to get started because you are used to UPF’s and sugar and eating constantly. Shame how we have been lied to about what to eat and how often. Change is hard!
@themadpenguin00fasting isn’t always the magic pill. One can’t put us all in the same circle and l expect the same results. We’re all made different and what works wonders for you certainly doesn’t work for me.
Which diet is best for post menopausal women that gained during peri and menopause?
The solution is the same: consume a diet that helps you keep your insulin low while providing adequate nutrition to keep your muscle and other lean mass fueled—a diet low in refined carbs (grains, starch, & sugar) and high in complete protein and natural fats to promote/support the body to build and maintain muscle while using both stored and dietary fat as fuel; that, along with regular daily movement and resistance training. 👍
Intermittent fasting, low-carb, high-protein diet. Resistance training to build and maintain muscle.
I’m 52, over three years in menopause. No weight issues at all. I have four kids ages 9-16 and I gained over 70 pounds with each pregnancy. A lot of stress wasting, I don’t learn about this way of eating until my last child was born. I wish I had known about it sooner.
Thanks for posting!
Excellent 👍
You’re the best! Thank you

I’ve been doing IF for almost ten years. I think I’ve been on omad for three years now. I love it.

You are a gift to humanity! You have no idea how much i needed to see this! Thank you 🙏🏽💐
I’m 52, I’ve been in menopause for almost four years now.
I’ve been intermittent fasting for almost ten years. I’ve been on keto for many years, I don’t even remember now. I e switched to a mostly carnivore diet most days. I never have to worry about getting enough protein and I don’t have to worry about my weight.
Our bodies are changing and we have to change our diet and work on building muscle to stay healthy.
