Keto "Oatmeal" video:

Hello Mr. Pollack. I’m up late, or early depending on a person’s perspective, and just saw your video drop less than a minute ago! I have the honor of being the first thumbs up! It’s nice to see you and your wife doing well. God bless you. 🤓🙏
Thanks for sharing. Yes, I’d say you were up early!
If a person is able to take a fifteen minute walk after eating, it should help the glucose level. A little Ceylon cinnamon on the cereal might also help.
That does not work for everybody. I, a 20plus year diabetic then became a Certified Fitness Instructor in 2018. Walking, Aerobics light weights AFTER eating didn’t do a thing for me. Only go low/no carbs dropped my numbers
Hate to see you harming your health so you can get the truth out there. But Thank You!
And you even have the time to create the aesthetic side of your video! Super talented of you! And of course Benedicta is part of the aesthetics! 🌿 Annatto is a natural orange-red spice and food coloring derived from the seeds of the achiote tree. Annatto can be found in butters to make them yellow . . . plus lots of other foods.
Cheese too
That red 40 is very bad, especially for kids with adhd, really makes the mood swings worse.
That absolutely surprise me! 😲
Does anyone have a reading on what einkorn bread does to their blood sugar? 🌿 This is what Google Ai says about it: “A normal-sized slice of einkorn bread typically raises your blood sugar by about 10 to 20 mg/dL, though the exact amount varies based on the slice size, your metabolism, and whether you eat it with other foods.”
Note that most Ai do NOT always give correct information… they have been found to give slightly to heavily biased information based on their programming. Since I can easily search using non-Ai browsers or using books and libraries for the information I need… I avoid Ai as if it is a plague upon mankind… which it will be.
Dennis did a video about einkorn bread.
I’m going to let you in on a little secret I just found out. You can make oats and then add beef or chicken bouillon and it tastes like top ramen and you don’t need milk and you don’t need sugar and I use sodium free bullion and I might even put some vegetables in there and it sounds horrible honestly I didn’t want to try it I absolutely love it.
Honey, butter, and cinnamon in the oats🎉

Oats versus Fruit Loops was a very interesting challenge to watch, Dennis! Extremely thought provoking. Cholesterol-free nightmares! Unacceptable insulin levels!. Wow! 2 hours after eating, Fruit Loops triumphed, which was indeed a shocker!

You and Benedicta are adorable.

It’s amazing, after seeing this and other videos that have the same results, how people try to justify eating it, but with cinnamon, a walk afterwards, putting it in the refrigerator and warming it up the next morning……….
Yep – anything to keep oatmeal. And when you think about it, oatmeal really isn’t very tasty – the only reason people tolerate it is due to the milk, sugar, cinnamon, honey, and other add-ons. Any person who ate it plain would probably say “Yuck!”
Dennis and Benedicta, you are both brave to do this. Please don’t do it again, as for what it does to your system. Thank you for the informative video.
To me the bigger plunge after a carb is worse because that is what cause the shakiness, leading to eating again to stop it and who knows what it is doing to our bodies.
Spike is not great , but what’s your recovery look like?
I still don’t quite understand why if you’re not diabetic your numbers are higher than your wife’s
Why are you “pontential” diabetic? I mean, because you used to have problems years ago, i’m just wondering, what makes us potential diabetics? Even though we don’t spike our blood sugar like we used to, I’m just wondering, is it genetic? Because they say in the old days, people didn’t use to get diabetes and now they do. I just don’t get it.
you look younger dennis
what if you add butter, raisins and walnuts to the oatmeal? would that help?
The butter might blunt the spike a bit. I doubt the nuts would do much. The raisins, having sugar, would probably add to the spike.
What a Nonsense…
After dealing with nutritionists that I had some friendly arguments with, you should chisel “My glucose meter is a far superior nutritionist than most of the people who call themselves nutritionist.” on to a stone tablet!
When I feel like eating oatmeal I mix in chia, flax, hemp, and some nuts and dried cranberries a little butter and some mct oil cook it all up and I generally serve myself about a 1/3 of a cup and this last several days and I haven’t experienced outrageous spikes
