Thank you Dennis.
Dennis. I had a good size steak with a fair amount nice soft fat around the edge. The fat was as delicious as the steak itself. Also now I only eat 80/20 ground beef.
Greetings from Ethiopia. That was very crucial. Thank you, Dennis.
Good morning Dennis my friend. Great morning video. Another interesting topic. Yes, alot more people are waking up to high fat and low carb. Yes, I remember when my mom used to get upset because I used to scrap the bottom of the pan after making a roast meat and eating the skin. I guess I was doing the right thing after all! Lol. ❤😊
Your book-review shows are sooooo interesting. Great idea to keep doing this. Is Joel Fuhrman still a carb-man?
Dennis, I just had to add this. I was diagnosed with type 2 back in the 90’s. I had a very good primary doc but on my own I went to see a holistic doc. He was telling me to eat more fat. Have more meals with things like whole eggs and bacon. At the time I was more concerned about having the lowest possible cholesterol eating egg whites every morning for breakfast. Crazy how things have changed.
I tried low fat for years, kept gaining weight. I was 326 pounds, high blood pressure, had gout, lots of aches and pains, was told I had stage 3 kidney disease, pre-diabetic, on a scale of 1 to 10 my life was about a 2. I was then diagnosed with prostate cancer and the doctor told me I needed surgery but he was afraid I would have a stroke and die on the table. I had no idea what to do, but I knew I had to get rid of sugar, and grains and refined foods. I had never heard of Keto, I was 65 at that point. I ate salads made with cabbage, olive oil, olives, cheese, and whatever lunch meat I had around. I only at a salad at about noon and then supper was just whatever meat my wife cooked and a vegetable. In 6 months I had lost over 60 pounds. Had the surgery. Lost a total of 120 pounds in one year. Off all meds, no high blood pressure, no longer pre-diabetic, kidney function normal (that blew my doctor away!) haven’t had a gout attack in almost 5 years, aches and pains gone (other than those normal for a 70 year old), my life now is about an 8 on a scale of 10. Oh, and on low fat I was ALWAY hungry but on Keto I am seldom truly hungry.
We all evolve. I was a vegetarian for eight years prior to discovering that reducing carbs was the real key to achieving metabolic health.
So grateful for the evolution.😊
