How is it that as soon as you post a video… I just know its going to be great! Thank you in advance Chalene❤ 🎉

  • @katydavis3390 says:

    ❤I love walking!

  • @user-hg3zp8pw2p says:

People think I am crazy because I HATE wearing socks in my shoes, but I always say I need to FEEL my feet squeezing the shoe and expand my toes when necessary for grip, a sock is a weird barrier that doesn’t allow me to use the sensory I need from my feet and movement. I also have craved as I have aged chunky, fat shoes, especially in the toes. Makes total sense. If we listen to our bodies, they will tell you what it wants and needs!! Mark Sisson, you have made me feel a bit more normal about this, thank you!

I love this and I’m only halfway through the video! I absolutely love walking. Mark is bringing up good points, especially about the high-cushioned running shoes causing poor form. Thanks for always bringing such great information, Chalene!

I love Mark Sisson! He is such a beautiful and insightful man. I’ve been following him since the beginning of MDA. Thanks so much for having him on 😊

  • @josiepatla2164 says:

I don’t run anymore! My routine is weight training and walking. I especially love walking after a meal. It’s meditative to me. It’s really not about calorie burn anymore as I’m working hard to build strength through progressive loading of weights. It took me 65 years to get to this sweet spot! Thank you for this episode.❤

  • @keishagloudemans4909 says:

I never heard of feet health doing exercise. This is wonderfully all these technical details.

  • @truthseeker6045 says:

This makes sense, because I used to walk 3 to 4 miles a day and loved the way my body looked then. I stopped, because I kept having too many close calls with creepers and don’t feel safe at all. I’m single.. so I was always alone. Now I just need to figure out a safe way to walk more, because I do love walking .

I used to be a runner, I absolutely love walking now. I go to bed with clean yoga pants, put my sneakers on first thing in morning and walk dogs for an hour. My job is a desk job, I have a stand up desk and step all day! I usually get over 20,000 steps each day ! Great video!!

  • @11Maria11 says:

I’ve achilles tendinitis in both legs so this has been extremely helpful. Hopefully will ease condition if not, rectify it 🙏🏽 ❤

  • @coredadventure1 says:

Oh man this is good stuff!!! I’m not all the way through the video but I hope he’s going to mention exactly where to buy exactly what shoe. Thanks so much for the info !!!❤❤

  • @madelyn6404 says:

Ever since I started following you Chalene I stopped running started lifting heavy weights and mostly just walking I’ve lost weight my body composition have changed tremendously

  • @thecarnivorecollective says:

I work a desk job. I get up early, walk 1-3 hours before work, walk during my 45 minute lunch, then walk at least another 90 minutes after dinner. I push for 20-25k steps a day. It is time consuming because I don’t walk fast but I need to keep moving!

  • @Tommygrl1327 says:

Started walking more based on your recommendation! ❤

  • @CoolCaliforniaMom says:

EVERY female runner I know of has had injury after injury, surgery after surgery..but they are 100% addicted and cannot or will not stop…WOW just WOW…..I LOVE WALKING !!!

  • @PropheticCoachTheresa says:

Love my walks on woodland trails. Feel so renewed after. Older I’ve gotten (almost 60) the super intense hikes pounding hills is too much, I can still do the hills but slower. Walking in the woods has saved my sanity. 💚

  • @deedee2218 says:

I walk outdoors when I can but I do have a treadmill I can use during the winter. What incline and speed does anybody recommend to get the most out of a 20 or 30 min walk?

  • @gracevasquez3154 says:

Definitely going to look into the shoes. Making walking and lifting a priority

  • @jenniferdl23 says:

Love this video. So much!!! Thank you and can’t wait to go more minimal with shoes ❤
