  1. Nice job Dennis. You just inspired me to do a video about: what it’s like to live with diabetes. I’ll be sure to share it once done.

  2. I’m 72 years old and I’ve had UTIs many times, so many that it was labeled chronic. Three years ago I found out about a supplement that has helped me so much that I haven’t had a UTI since I started taking it. It is D-Mannose. The first week I took one capsule 4 times a day. The next week I took it 3 times a day and the following week I took it twice a day. Now I take it once a day. I give thanks to God for giving me this remedy. I hope that by sharing this course of action with you, someone else will have the same experience. Best wishes 🌸

Diabetics are more prone to UTIs than non diabetics. The symptoms sound miserable. Thanks for information regarding this sensitive issue, Dennis!

  4. Dennis I’ve e been there many times, especially as a kid and again in my early 60s. My A1c is 5.2. Last time the doctor told me to drink cranberry juice in addition to the antibiotic. I took cranberry pills because I didn’t want the sugar. It definitely helped, but it doesn’t replace the pharmaceutical solution.

  5. Gave my husband cranberry pills you can get at Walmart in vitamin section. He never had another one ( he’s passed) .

  6. For women, intercourse is a very common risk factor for developing a UTI. Not because you are exposed to an infected partner, although that certainly is something to avoid, but simply from the friction against the urethral opening during intercourse. All of the normal bacteria that lives on the skin can get forced into the urethra during intercourse and if you don’t urinate shortly afterwards, the bacteria begin to multiply in the warm, moist environment of the urinary tract causing a UTI. Every woman should be urinating within an hour or less after intercourse. I know many women who are very prone to UTIs will also shower before intercourse to make sure the skin is as clean as possible and have their husband shower as well. It sounds very inconvenient, but could save you from a terrible UTI.

  7. I also wanted to add I love the simple down to earth way you explained this. I’m almost 70 and am floored by how many people are so much in the dark about health issues. Thanks.

  8. In the past when I had a high HbA1C of around 10(!), my doc added a pill containing empagliflozin. I looked it up and found that it worked by making your kidneys excrete sugar in the urine. Its side effects included adverse effect on kidneys and UTI. Anyway since the doc prescribed it and I didn’t know better I took it for around a month. The UTI I got as a result was really terrible. Luckily I found this channel and changed my diet and followed a very low carb diet. Never took that pill again.

My A1C is now under 6. It can be done. Thank you Mr Dennis Pollock for your wonderful work.

  9. Women get UTI’s because of a decrease of estrogen, so it is common during menopause or Peri menopause.
