I don’t think you’re wrong really for anyone, though. In order for most people to be able to even catch up or get in pace with this economy we may all potentially need to be generating that kind of annual income. It would give many people the ability to live comfortably, invest, and retire with enough money to leave to your children and their children.
You can make 100k a year and live comfortably forever and retire at a reasonable age. Especially if you have a spouse that also makes a decent salary. Just gotta adjust your expectations and aim for more reasonable but still great experiences and destinations. 400k is well into upper class.
@aphotosyntheticworldright just oppress your desires when there’s really no limit to it.
Thats the way to live. Why would you want to expand , grow , and stretch when you could just give up your dreams
@aphotosyntheticworld I understand what you mean, but that is if you just want to live decent accounting for no emergency accidents, disabilities, or even trying to live better than just out in the woods away from civilization. Or even if you want frequent vacations, have a large family, or even depends on where you want to live. Some places $100,000 a year isn’t even enough.

Grant. There’s not many people who I don’t know, that I would say this. I would work for you for free. if I could learn the real estate/ land lord business. I have been wanting to get into the business for a long time. I would be a sponge and exceed. I’ve worked hard my whole life. Mastered my craft. Now I’m ready to take on this new chapter to improve my family life. What do you say?
This is actually a pretty common tactic. I would bet he already has hundreds of people, if not thousands, who asked to work for free. I believe Alex Hormozi gave this advice as well
Give em a hand everybody work for free dude
You willing to work for free is exactly why grant wouldn’t hire you
He is right especially if you put your kids through college 🎉
