Recipe for Dennis' Chaffles:

Makes double the usual recipe – around six chaffles

1. 2 eggs
2. ½ tsp baking powder
3. 1 plus cup of shredded cheese
4. 4 tbsp of almond flour
5. I threw in one tbsp of soy flour but you can skip this
6. 5 tbsp or ¼ cup of heavy whipping cream + 1 tbsp
7. after spraying with cooking spray, put mixture into your chaffle maker or makers.
8. It usually takes around 4 ½ to 5 minutes.
9. They come out easily

Here’s how I make my chaffles. I start with blending 2 eggs together. Then I add about ½ tsp of baking powder. I throw in a little over 1 cup of shredded cheese and mix it all together. I add 4 tbsp of almond flour. In this case I added an extra tbsp of soy flour, but that is entirely optional. I add a little over ¼ cup of heavy whipping cream and mix everything together again. While I am preparing the chaffle mixture I plug in my chaffle makers so they can get hot and I won’t have to wait so long when I am ready. Once the chaffle makers’ lights assure me they are ready for business I put some mixture into each chaffle mold. Once I put down the lid, I set my timer for five minutes. The time goes by quickly and soon I am lifting the lid again and taking out my beautiful, golden-brown chaffles.

I make waffle bread as a batch and freeze them. I use coconut flour, egg, butter, baking powder, psyllium husk powder, salt and water. I even “batch” my dry ingredients and store them in very small plastic containers that I have or I could use zip lock bags.

Here’s a hack always freeze your bread and toast it before you eat it. 100% works cut 30% of the spike.
Hack #2 pasta, rice, potatoes cook your dish and let it sit in the fridge for 24 hours. The starch turns into restrictive starch which some of the spike.
Hack 3: a study in 2015 show when you eat your food in the right order cuts 70% of your spike. Eat your salads, greens, etc first, second eat your proteins and fats, last eat that one high starch in your meal. I had a 13.5 a1c and in six months following these hacks my a1c was 5.6 which is in normal range. I don’t know why Dennis don’t preach these hacks that work?

      Thank you!
I’m certainly going to try this

They don’t work for everyone….they don’t work for me.
Serious keto has videos on these and they don’t work for him either.
      Test test test!

    • @joshtoten says:

Because those don’t work for a majority of us. Carbs are carbs at the end of the day. Low carb and keto is the only way some of us can survive without the need for medicine and insulin.

    • @larrywhitt1649 says:

@rosebailey3537  he still should mention them because they do work for some diabetics. All he has to say is try the hack and if your glucose meter approves.
