  1. Level 38 here! I’m realizing as I get older my body responds so differently to things. I love watching your videos because they are so informative. I used to do insanity max 30 which was good when I was younger, but at this stage I really want something a little less impact and more sustainable.

    1. You’re so right, our bodies change and so should our workouts. Lower impact and sustainable is where the real magic happens in midlife.

  2. Hi
I’m level 68. Been counting calories, dieting, exercising my entire adult life.
It’s so easy to become obsessed!!!
    And so confused!!!!!

    Love your videos.

  3. Ok! This is me! I’m an obsessive walker at 18k steps every single day. This video was very helpful in having me rethink my obsessive behavior where too much of a good thing becomes a not so good thing.

    1. I get it completely. I’ve been there too, thinking more was always better. It feels good to move, but balance really is the secret to long term progress and peace.

    2. Just arrived at level 62. I’m in good shape with muscle tone in my arms, legs and glutes, but I have trouble with some belly fat that just won’t go away! Thanks for your advice.

  4. Obsessive behaviors can be hard to break. Over exercising, under eating , fear of weight gain. At level 64 I am happy not being perfect. I just live my best life in gratitude for what I can do.

  5. Level 38 here!! LOL!! 😂 Chalene is literally a life saver!!! I had my hormones checked with my Functional medical doctor and started HRT and once my hormones were balanced again the weight has started to come off easily with a LOT less effort. TY!!! 👆🌈💖

    1. Level 38 and thriving! I love hearing that. Getting your hormones balanced really can change everything. So happy you’re feeling better and seeing results.

  6. Your content is so freaking awesome. I am 53 and I cannot tell you how helpful your posts are. I am trying to get fit again. I used to be very fit in my 20’s but then lost so much weight due to cancer in my late 20’s. I lost ALL my muscle mass and looked like a skeleton with sagging skin. Then I healed and my body miraculously came back. But I was never able to get back in shape. So it is my mission now to get in shape again. I am skinny-fat and fluffy. So thank you for your amazing content !!!

    1. Thank you so much for sharing that. What an incredible journey you’ve had. It’s amazing that you’re feeling ready to rebuild again. Muscle really is the key at this stage, and you’re going to feel so strong taking that on.

    2. Let me tell you, I’m happy that you are here. So many of us are affected by cancer by either a loved one or experiences. I hope and pray you continue to only have to worry about muscle and protein intake. I know you got this with the right team behind you

  7. Chalene, this was so good! I love that you are so honest and real with the wins and the losses. Sometimes influencers just make us feel like losers! You are real and it shows your integrity. Thank you. ❤

  8. Hi Chalene! I’m 31 years old but I’ve had 5 babies and I’m struggling trying to lose the baby weight and I have diastasis recti and still look pregnant over a year later. I look fat and old and I hope I look like you when I’m older ❤ you’re beautiful!

    1. ChatGPT said:

You’re being way too hard on yourself. Five babies is no small thing, and your body has done something incredible. Healing diastasis takes time, but it’s absolutely possible. Start gentle and give yourself grace—you’re already stronger than you realize.

    2. Get tummy tuck in Miami Dr Askari is the best. He will tighten your diastasis! I have belly fat after I have two kids. At age 541/2 years old, I had tummy tuck and liposuction suction on the back with Rejuvion. At 57 yo, I have flat tummy with definition. Hardcore stomach, good investment to have tummy tuck!!!! Trust me just do it. Even at menopause, you can have flat tummy. Exercise would not help after kids. Tummy tuck did it for me!

  9. Great video. In regard to calories. Women after menopause tend to cut calories while increasing exercise. More and more exercise while eating 1200 calories, this is also a problem. When I was “under eating” regardless of how clean and macro based I ate, I could not lose a pound to save my life. Regardless of lifting (heavy) 5 days a week and getting well over 20K steps a day. When I cut down on my steps and (yikes… it was scary) increased my food intake (it wasn’t a lot, just a little more veggie’s, an ounce more chicken, a 1/4 cup more rice, little changes) my weight finally started going in the right direction. I’ve always worked out, over 31 years now. Menopause makes it more of a challenge, but it doesn’t mean to live in a deficient, this will catch up to you as well.

  10. Level 76. Work out nine hours a week in the gym (more weight room than anything else, but also treadmill and mat work). Eat an animal-based diet that is low oxalate and low histamine. And yes, high protein. Take care of everything I can in my home and yard myself (and have a tri-level, so lots of stairs). Have multiple flower beds, shrubs, and trees, so I do a fair bit of yard work beyond mowing and trimming. I’m into sensible, not over-doing. I wear a zero drop, minimalist shoe to work out in and walk in. No cushiony shoes for me.

    1. How are you finding low histamine protein sources? I get a headache when I eat animal protein (or most others) due to histamine intolerance and MCAS. Genuine question, really pleased to hear that it can be done!

  11. Level 36. Used to he super fit. Have always struggled with obsessive eating and exercising. Basically starved myself for 10 years, decreasing more and more until I was eating 2 bowls of oatmeal per day while hiking miles and miles in all sorts of terrain with a 70lb pack…and maintaining!!! Increased calories for 2 pregnancies (1 baby collicky) and ballooned. Gained over 100lbs, despite eating a healthy 2000 calories. Daughter got sepsis 1.5 years ago, and is now on dialysis at 6. Bouncing back has been hell. The stress of life is crushing. But I know I can always come to your videos to find hope and motivation to prioritize my health and keep trying. I may not be menopausal yet, but I’m determined to get ahead of the curve.

  12. Level 40… Obsessive with fitness and weight training and also started obsessively walking for a period of time but I know weight training is where it’s at.
    I adore you !

  13. Wow, you nailed it. That’s exactly how I’ve been feeling about exercise, diet, and life in general I just never knew how to put it into words. You explained it perfectly, and that kind of thinking really applies to everything we do.

  14. I’ll be level 52 on October 29-I feel like I have hit a plateau and am even gaining weight again. Thank you for this!!

  15. I’m walking 10k and losing weight…slowly but my body is changing for the better. I’ve heard about the plateau, and I can see my weight loss showing down. As usual, your messages are timely! Thank you girl❤
