I love the use of the analogy of driving a car and the learner being in the passenger seat ; however, I must say not all teachers are ‘sage on the stage’ types in a classroom lecturing. There are many of us who allow our students ‘play the music’ and create a sense of community even though they move to another class or grade, I’m one of those teachers — and my goal is to teach my teaching techniques to the entrepreneurial world. 🙂
