Own Your Flaws. Nobody Can Use Them Against You.

Own your flaws. Build your strengths. Stop letting other people define who you are.

In this conversation with Derek Andersen on the Divot podcast, I explain why you have to own your weaknesses before you can fully own your strengths. Real confidence comes from competence, and being great at something does not mean being perfect at everything.

We talk about confidence versus arrogance, why I push back on being told to stay humble, how my faith has shaped my approach to personal growth, and why I keep creating instead of asking when enough is enough.

In this clip:

Own your flaws before someone uses them against you.
Build competence instead of pretending to be confident.
Recognize your strengths without claiming you're great at everything.
Stop confusing acknowledgment of success with arrogance.
Keep improving, creating, and producing results.

  1. Im confident. My work is silent. It requires no outward expression. Showing confidence, is arrogance. Chatting about my work, im so good its arrogant.

People dont like that. People dont like me. People don’t like how I do things. I dont need anyone to be fkn great. I need 0 people to be epic. But I got every single person as a liability, everyone potencially is risk.

  2. With all of the incredible content within this interview, the most common comment is about Sairium….THAT IS WHAT YOU GOT OUT OF THIS????? God help us all!!!

  3. Grant. You have to vacuum up other people’s ideologies, and their work ethic, and achievements, and own it as your own, because the reality is that your character and moral standards are sadly low. Your empathy is minimal. You have poor character, and if people saw the real you, you’d repulse them. You suck the life out of everything you touch.

  4. That’s good to hear! I’ve been bouncing around that sometimes good and sometimes bad for the past one or two years. I like hearing that consistently good is next because I feel like I’m getting there.
