Only 0.03% of Research Money Went to Menopause?!
Menopause impacts millions of women, yet it receives just 0.03% of health research funding. In 2023, out of a $43 billion budget, only $15 million went toward menopause, compared to 12 times more research on pregnancy. It’s time to talk about the research gap that’s been ignored for decades.

Wow the comparison is crazy ❤
It seems that a woman’s capability to successfully procreate is far more important.
I have the same issue with scoliosis, a serious condition that impacts estimated 7mil people, mostly women, who have it pronounce mostly in their teen years, and the complete lack of spending and research for it in comparison to stuff like obesity, which let’s be honest, we know mostly wha the issues are there, too much eating and eating bad food and not moving. Makes me angry, as people scoliosis are basically ignored. The research is paltry. No excuse. They spend more on sports performance. Disgraceful.
Basically, our society doesn’t care about teen girls suffering with scoliosis. It’s sad. We can build missiles that can hit a dime from thousands of miles away, but how to treat scoliosis, 🤷🏼♂️. Shameful. Sorry for the rant but it really angers me.
Agree on the scoliosis! Ive had it since age 14 and it continues to affect my life . Theres not much new information and it boils down to: keep yourself in shape and/or have surgery.
I think I’m lucky that mine is in the lumbar and a bit above, it’s not affecting my heart or lungs but it does affect flexibility, fatigue, muscles working harder in the back to keep me upright, tight muscles in my midback, hips out of alignment etc. 🫤
@@pompom2025Sorry. It’s not right. They don’t put nearly enough resources into it. The studies are pathetic. But we know everything in the universe about creatine. Priorities in this culture are upside down.
Best friend and I both have scoliosis badly we’re in our 40s and 50s and have had it our whole lives it has been debilitating to say the least in our upper and lower backs. We would love to see more research done on this subject so the younger girls and boys won’t have to go through so much in the future
Menopause has really done me in it makes me feel like a washed up has been😢
That’s a Whooooole nother topic….
Of course! we’re living in an era where women over 50 don’t count anymore
we’re in a menopause awareness revolution right now- great work ladies!
