I now have a weekly testing average of 5.4 or 97.2.
On Mike The Meter. I’m a 58 year old obese white man.
My A1C was around 16 when 1st diagnosed.

Is it useless to share your story? Is it useless to save your sight, your legs, your kidneys, your liver, your heart, and your brain? Is it useless to save someone’s life? My doctor said my low carb eating, 220 pound weight loss, and normal blood sugar down from screaming highs saved my life. I just listened to Dennis and did whatever Dennis did. That seems pretty simple. Thanks Dennis.

Bread and potatoes are the worst on me . I am wearing the Stelo Dexcom now and testing my food. It has helped me a lot . I am pre diabetic .

Dennis, very good argument here. I am 71 and a diabetic. I have followed you for years. For me, you were a guide on what or what not to eat to help me on my road to a better life. Have found your insights life changing. I have adapted, yours, Dr. Berry, and Dr. Berg into my eating style. Have attained near perfect blood results. Now only go to my doctor twice yearly, and that is to get blood drawn just to keep a check on things. Keep my A1C, in the FIVES, so thank you for persivearing, and the education. The day I was diagnosed with type two, I was given two insulin shots, to get my glucose down to 750, so the machine would read the numbers, that was almost 8 years ago, I have passed on this information to countless hundreds, in hopes it will help them, so you keep on keepin on. Everyone is here for a purpose, and this may be your greatest legacy, so thank you.

Your channel has made a difference in my diabetic journey. I thank God that you are here. Telling us in everyday language, showing us how important of a tool our dear friend Mike is. Explaining how the new over the counter (OTC) continuous glucose monitoring systems can be a game changer for some of us. We are different BUT we are also the same. My doctor never explained stuff to me. All I got was you are diabetic here’s a sample menu, watch what you eat. See me in three months. Oh by the way you need this meter to check your blood glucose. Check it in the morning. No explanation.
I learned that I am in control my diabetic journey, there are lots of people like me ,who found your channel at a time when I finally decided that ‘I control my journey”. There is power in knowledge and thank you for being willing to share your knowledge. You have made a difference in my diabetic journey. Thank you for all you.

I knew nothing about diabetes when I was diagnosed 3 years ago A1c of 17!! Watching your videos brought me down to 5s and 6s in 3 months. Recently I got a cgm and this is helping me fine tune my diet. I love your channel and watch it regularly . Great work Dennis❤

I’m glad you’re helping us learn about diabetes. Thank You! You’ve helped me tremendously.

  • @monicapoole2115 says:

I had type 2. Went whole fool plant predominant, near zero processed food. I’m almost 60. I can eat a whole watermelon, or a whole bowl of oatmeal with fruit, and blood sugar is fine now. I suspect not testing yourself with carb consumption or if you eat any carb and your glucose is high, then have you really healed you type 2??

  • @catherinewheatley1493 says:

You taught me a method on how to keep my diabetes under control. I cannot eat refined processed foods and especially sugar without craving more. In the last year I’ve lost 50 pounds and A1c is 6.5, down from 7.6, while at the same time reducing medication for diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol. By removing problem foods, I no longer open the pantry door numerous times a day looking for my “fix.” I’m waiting for my CGM (my “Charlie”) to arrive, so I can dial in the foods and food combinations that I can eat with moderate glucose spike. I’m hoping to get my A1c down in the normal range. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏
