Those are not friends, those are acquaintances….for somebody to be called a friend…a long time has to pass for the person to be vetted by his/her actions and loyalty…stop calling any dumbass that happens to say “whats up” a friend
Are they friends, (1) if you don’t like what they do and (2) you can’t trust them in living ethical. Name “People that you know” is more fits, than “friends”.
