I Put Estrogen Cream on My Face for 2 Years. Results SHOCKED My Doctor!
Can estrogen cream for your face really improve menopausal skin? After using vaginal estrogen cream on my face for over two years, I’m sharing my honest results, before-and-after changes, and the 5 things I wish I’d known before I started.
Answering your FAQ:
* Does estrogen cream for the face actually work?
* Can it improve wrinkles, crepey skin, collagen loss, skin thinning, and elasticity?
* What’s the difference between estriol and estradiol cream?
* Can you use the vaginal estrogen cream you already have?
* How/where to apply it?
* Are there non hormone alternatives
* Where can you get it?
* Is it safe, and what does the former FDA black box warning really mean?
Like many women in perimenopause and menopause, I experienced collagen loss, thinning skin, fine lines, wrinkles, reduced elasticity, and crepey skin. My lotions and potions just weren’t doing it. After learning estrogen cream being used on the face I tried it and I made some mistakes. Then I learned I could get a topical compounded estrogen cream, prescribed by my clinician and I’ve since been using a compounded estriol cream on my face for almost 2 years.
I’ll share my complete two-year experience, including what improved, what didn’t, how long it took to see results, how I apply the cream, the mistakes I’d avoid if I were starting today, and how I obtained my prescription through Midi Health. I’ll also discuss what current research says about topical estrogen and facial skin so you can make a more informed decision.
If you’re researching estrogen cream for your face, vaginal estrogen cream on the face, estriol cream for skin, menopause skincare, HRT and skin aging, collagen loss during menopause, or topical estrogen for wrinkles, this video is designed to answer the questions I wish someone had answered for me.

This is why I decided to have a female doctor now.
I live in Alberta, Canada. So will have to do my research 😊
same! – keep me in the loop!
@chalenejohnson
Okay, sure will 😊
I’m in Saskatchewan; the struggle is real lol
@Nyenna96
Ha ha, it sure is!!!
I was born in Kindersley, we moved to Alberta when I was young.
@angelagetz5464Oh not too far from where I’m at! Congrats on the move 🎉 lol

Australia is so far behind in this sadly. No Doctor will prescribe this for your face even my botox Doctor said no.🙄🤨
They do not take any form of Medicare
True story – when I was a teenager in early 80s, I used my mom’s estrogen cream and cleared up my zits asap. I don’t know what made decide to use it, but I did. I actually had no idea what it was but I saw my mom use it on her face.
thanks for addressing ‘the elephant in the room’ right away 😂 appreciate you 🙌🏼
of course, public with all the thingssss. everything heals better with healthy skin.
Chalene got a facelift, how have creams helped her?!!! Deceitful
I wonder why the brown spot issue that some women experience when they try facial estrogen was not touched upon in this video? They can be difficult to fade just raising this issue as it was a reason that i stopped using the midi prescibed estrogen cream on my face
Great question. I can only speak to my own experience, but that’s one of the reasons I always recommend working with a clinician who understands HRT. We all respond differently and what works beautifully for one person may not be the right fit for another
did the same to me. brown spots.
It’s important to put the estrogen on at night and be careful because it does make your skin more sensitive to Sun. Therefore the brown spots so don’t put it on in the morning and make sure you use a facial sunscreen
@KayEllem that may be helpful to some, i did that but still got them. I have been told that some women just get them based on hormones stimulating pigment production such as with birth control that causes melasma. I would urge most to try it on a small area for some time to see . I am still trying to fade them completely a year later and im religious w skincare and sunscreen.
Also got brown spots !
This should be covered by our health insurance!!!
Yes it should be!
It is if you let them think it’s for the intended purpose.
@EnergyAndLightAwakeningwhat’s the intended purpose ? It is NOT covered.
@midwestfdwatch. Not everyone has the same insurance sweetie. My policy pays some of mine. My co pay is $60 per month.
All should cover, sweetie@Gringabeanpole
Your skin looks absolutely beautiful Chalene. I have been doing this every few weeks, for around 4 months. It plumps my skin up.
You are so right. It took 2 years for me and my doctor to figure out my MHT recipe 😊 So glad i did ❤
I’m 61, and I started with Alloy Estrogen cream on my face about a year ago. It’s the only change I made in my routine. The difference in my skin resiliency is huge. ‘Thicker’ is the word I use to describe. The older I got, my skin got more reactive. In the winter, I regularly dealt with dry eczema patches…but not this past winter. My skin was normal, dry for winter, but no eczema breakouts. None. I didn’t have to back off my tretinoin either, which I usually have to in the winter.
The surface of my skin looks smoother too. My esthetician has commented on how ‘plump’ my skin looks.
Yup, I’m a believer and will continue with it.
This is so amzaing YAY!
I will add that I did first try my estrogen cream made for down yonder on my face. I felt like it didn’t absorb that well. My compounded version for my face is lovely and absorbs right away.
@barbtscottmaybe put the estrogen on first and then skin hydration product over it
I loved reading this. I use Alloy M4 face estrogen as well. I’m58 and I’ve only been using it 5 months. I love it so far. I’m only using one pump a day, as recommended, and the bottle has lasted me much longer than the 3 months that it’s suppose to last. Have you noticed that?
@Holly.58 Yes!! I’m getting at least 4months.
I am 70 – I have been on estriol on my face, hands and forearms for 18 months. It is an absolute game changer. I think my skin looks so much younger it is crazy. I also started on HRT about 12 months ago. I can’t say enough good things about either of them !
This is so amazing!!
Im your age , could you possibly share the doctor willing to put you on hrt? I’ve tried several, they keep telling me I can’t start it 10 years post menopause. Im certain many do but I can’t find one
@ord2miaI live in Texas. It is my local doctor. I have osteopenia and it is part of the protocol for bone health. I know a friend who gets them from Alloy online.
Is it through a telehealth provider?
@sunshinefl6586 yes Alloy
Laser WILL change the surface of your skin. I got it when I got my lower face lift. Been 10 years now and with great cream, staying out of sun USE SUNSCREEN, and I’m still delighted with the results. They say to tweak the facelift every 3-5 years. I didn’t. But now at 70, I’m still happy with the results
Who did you have facelift with?
Dr Adler in Stuart, FL. 10 years ago June 1. My pfp has no filter on it. The pic was taken last Sunday. Not too bad for 70 I think. Worth👏🏼every👏🏼penny
I love Midi – been with them for 2-3 years now. GAME CHANGER! I haven’t done estrogen cream yet, I’m adding that to my next visit- thank you for being so real Charlene!! I love it
Giiiiirl, me too!! I LOVE my estriol face/neck creams. Best skincare yet.
I think the filled lips so many people are doing is what the eyes find so unnatural. It’s just odd.
I’m 50, started perimenopause at 46, and HRT has been a lifesaver for me!! I started HRT at 48 and it took around 18 months to turn things around and get my hormones dialed in, but WOW! I look and feel SO much better! I also started Tirzepatide 15 months in, and the last of my autoimmune symptoms disappeared. I cannot stress enough how important it is for women to self-advocate and demand better practices in women’s health for themselves and for our world! I am not afraid of getting cancer (I’m a 3x cancer survivor) from HRT, I am afraid of getting early-onset dementia, heart disease, and dealing with all of the awful and debilitating symptoms of perimenopause and menopause. I would rather live a shorter, quality life than a longer and diseased/disabled life. Please, my fellow Gen Xers, take care of yourselves, YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!!
Hi Chalene, this is not an insult and not to be taken personally but you know that saying out of sight out of mind well I was an original turbo jam DVD purchaser and you came on my radar again last week or something at I was talking about when my husband and it was on YouTube and I saw one of the old workouts and I was so excited and I was trying to scratch my head and remember why I stopped well I had some knee injuries and so I stopped all of that type of working out for a very long time and so out of sight out of mind and I am so glad to see how you are thriving and are consistent and that this is a whole lifestyle for you and I have gladly subscribed to your channel and purchased my weighted vest for my morning walks so thank you.
WARNING… Ladies if you live in the middle of nowhere like I do and the medical team is behind on the latest health and skin care don’t tell them it is for your face. They just don’t get it even if you show them proof they might not give it to you or your insurance won’t cover it for that purpose. It’s best to let them believe it is for downstairs lol. It took me 3 times! This also happened with tretinoin. So instead of telling them you want it for anti aging tell them it’s hormonal and you have adult acne.

I got disapproval looks when i asked mine about it too. Little did she know id already been putting it on my face nearly a year ago
I’m 64 and started on HRT vaginal cream 8 months ago. I can definitely see a difference in the skin tissue in that area. Using it on the face is such an amazing idea
I have been a subscriber for years, because I don’t want to miss an episode. I agree, estrogen cream has changed my skin. ❤️🙏
