Thank you SO much Dr. Fung, because of your information and book The Obesity code I started alternative day fasting (ADF) three months ago and have lost 20 lbs. It’s a BIG adjustment and a whole mindset change but absolutely worth the benefits.
Do you think one meal a day would be just as good as not eating got to get 20 off😅😅😅😅😅
Thank you for all your help you’re truly the best God bless you❤❤❤❤
1 meal a day is the pinnacle of health metabolism and life. It takes time to master . And it takes a while but when you lock in and understand this is good for your body and this is how one should eat. You then see the back end of your peak health. 2 meals a day is great too. But let me tell you 1 meal a day will cure food addiction , your relationship with food , you then have an epiphany moment and realise this food is ONLY for nutrition and NOT for comfort . FOOD is NOT for comfort . When you treat it like comfort it will treat you like comfort . And your mental health’s and physique will be a reflection of that state. Drink water , do carnivore or keto. Carnivore is superior in my opinion. But either way do one of them and drink water don’t drink coffee just relax ! It will all be good trust your hormones and have compassion for yourself don’t be so hard but do at the same time !
I feel my best at one meal a day mostly carnivore. I do add some things as flavor like peppers , garlic and giardinera.
Ate more than one time on Christmas but didn’t have any sweets . Feeing good wins if you give it a chance
I prefer one meal every two days
“… die in your sleep every single night”😂😂😂 dying multiple times 😂
Wait. Body fat IS calories? Bc calories are a measurement of a heat unit, no? And I thought excess glucose is stored as fat. So confusing!
Can’t wait for Dr. Fung’s new book out in March, 2026. Pre-ordered.
the one and only. 💥👑👑👑
This doctor has plenty of wise advice!
Perfectly explained. Thank you!
This first time I fasted, I died in my sleep. The second time I tried it, I died in my sleep. But the THIRD time I fasted I also died in my sleep.
Watching Mesidor and Donaldson playing against each other in a playoff game.. hoping wvu can start to win and eventually make playoffs and show players they don’t have to transfer to get to that level. seems like we losing a lot of production this transfer cycle
Karen Hurd, a biochemist and nutritionist who’s been helping people heal for decades, says that in order for the liver to convert protein or fat into glucose to be used (gluconeogenesis) it needs a catalyst-adrenaline. If a person has adrenal fatigue, this won’t happen, and fasting just becomes a major stressor with no weight loss. This is what happens to me when I attempt fasting. 😢 Before adrenal fatigue, I used to fast regularly, no problem. Long term carnivore caused my adrenal fatigue. Deadly diet.
Why is it when i fast, around the 20th hour, i feel so hot, people around me says it is cold because it is december, but i feel so hot and sweaty.
Happy New Year to wonderful Dr and thank you god bless you ❤
