  1. Morning Dennis, as I’m watching this I’m drinking my morning coffee lol and I’m English! I have it with full fat cream and a tablespoon of organic MCT oil, this morning my A1C is 5.3 ! I put this down to watching your channel, I once had an A1C of 10 ! So I will never be able to thank you enough !

  2. For the first 71 years of my life I thought donuts were good for your health, and when you weigh 415 pounds, nobody picks fights with you. Then I met Dennis, and he spoiled all my fun. Now I only weigh 195 (25 more to go), I don’t have donuts with my coffee, and I can’t get my blood sugar to go over 100 (84 this morning, no meds) Thanks a lot Dennis.

  3. The reason why I switched to decaf is the following process: Caffeine increases the release of cortisol, the body’s stress hormone. Cortisol prolongs the effects of adrenaline. Adrenaline raises blood sugar by stimulating the liver to release stored glucose and increasing the production of new glucose.

    1. That’s what has happened to me – cortisol / stress has increased my A1C for the first time in my life and I’m old! Never would I have thought I would be prebiabetic. But I love my coffee!! Will try the decaf. Thank you

    2. Caffine does increase cortisol. But I have measured my blood sugar and coffee does not impact it. I drink my coffee with butter and an egg. My A1C is routinely 5.0 to 5.2. Certainly enough caffeine can impact things. But my experience is that for me it does not, at least in the amount I drink.

    3. I drink decaffeinated with heavy whipping cream in the morning, only one cup, but I do drink an energy drink during the day

  4. YES , THE DAWN EFFECT IS CERTAINLY REAL , , HAD ME ALL SHOOK UP UNTIL I HAD LEARNED OF THE DAWN EFFECT . TWO MEALS A DAY IS GOOD , ❤ ! ❤

I drink tea because my mom drank tea. On occasion, I drink coffee. However, caffeine elevates my blood pressure, so I limit both.
