This content content can really help a person get past diabetes. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent Dennis! The no spike diet is the way to go. The sad thing is that the author of good energy thinks that what works for her would work for others.
I am a physician recovered from fatty liver disease. I work with the sickest of the sick from a metabolic standpoint. The book Good Energy would not help my patients, it would discourage them.

    • @lvlv1225 says:

What did you do to recover from fatty liver disease? I just found this channel and am working on lowering my a1c down from 6.3 .. I am 63 and just had gallbladder out and it was mentioned I had some fatty liver! Thank you… trying to educate myself on all this I am 63

    • @johnmadany9829 says:

@@lvlv1225 actually a lack of saturated fat and the use of seed oil oil may play key roll and fatty liver. I had my liver biopsy 20 years ago, it wasn’t good then. Much better now. I have zero seed oil in my diet.

Dr. Casey Means, author of the book, Good Energy
🌟 Fast 5:11 ing insulin is the most valuable test you can get
🌟High triglycerides are a warning sign that you’re eating too much sugar
🌟Focus on eating refined carbs and unprocessed foods…
The more natural the food, the better

  • @Sweetrose333 says:

    Great information, as usual

  • @rooster3019 says:

You mentioned “all carbs” negatively in our plan. Am I so far off base? I use soluable and insoluable fiber (both cheifly carbohydrate) to help support digestion and GI function. Am I wrong? Is it no longer correct to subtract fiber carbs from total carbs in selecting menu items?

Preach on my brother… you saved my life. By introducing me to Mic. There are so many internet copy cats getting on the diabetes band wagon. You my friend are the standard for me. I have gone form 7.9 A1C to 6.5 A1C by watching what I eat and intermittent fasting. I still have a way to go. But Psalm 90:10 helps me realize I won the race and keeps me on track for getting the strenght I need for continuing on.

  • @TerryAvis-d5z says:

Thanks for reading this book so we don’t have to. For T2D we have to eat to ‘Mike the Meter’. carbs =sugar.

Dennis has turned me into a spike hater. I’ve tested a few foods lately now that I have been in control for months and learning a lot about which foods I have to stay from even though my spikes are short lived. I think losing 120 pounds (even when I say it I can’t believe it) has helped with my insulin resistance, but I am still watching those after meal spikes. Nothing makes me happier than eating and barely seeing that needle move. Sometimes I get a bit preachy with friends when they’re eating and how much their blood glucose must be spiking after eating whatever they’re eating. LOL

    • @lvlv1225 says:

I just got myself a continuous glucose monitor. I have just started this journey as my a1c was 6.3

    • @videoproboston2450 says:

@@lvlv1225 I was pre for a while at 6.3. It was like i was stuck on that number forever and didn’t take it seriously. I hit 6.9 for a very short amount of time between the holidays last year through March. Found this channel and within a few months I dropped it down to 5.5. Eat to the meter and you’ll get there too!

  • @ellen9579 says:

I’ll keep my focus on Mike, the low spike diet and walking/strength training/yoga for exercise…Nuff said!

  • @petercyr3508 says:

I would have to say her message is a bit muddled, especially in interviews. She tries to make too many points across nutrition, corruption and politics. It is a good thing though that this is being thrust into the mainstream by her, her brother and RFK. It is a corruption problem at its root.

Good morning Dennis from beautiful Arizona 🇺🇸

  • @jayhay1237 says:

Your comments are on point! The marketing army for the medical industrial complex is a slippery snake. They are capitalizing on the “ultra processed” food idea: keeping things less descript and the masses confused. That confusion leads to frustration and then the simple pill ultimate remedy can be sold.

Consumerism is rooted in low self esteem. Feeling inadequate? You should! You are incomplete without our product…

  • @susibul5320 says:

Well said Dennis, we need more info than avoiding processed and whole foods! Keep going as too many folk still do not know.

  • @jimejones-093 says:

The impression I’m getting of all this is that Casey Means’ book is an example of a subjective dietary autobiography being mistakenly touted as an objective one size fits all set of recommendations for disease prevention.

  • @JxT1957 says:

i reversed my prediabetes to a normal a1c mainly by cutting out a ton of table sugar. i was surprised my cholesterol and bp also went down to normal levels and quit the meds just by mainly cutting out sugar, and also switched to whole wheat bread and steel cut oats, and lost 30 pounds as a result. my doctor orders lab work on me every 3 months.
