    Good morning Dennis from Minnesota

🍂🍁🍂 Thanks for your thoughts regarding Mike versus Charlie…Good info to consider, Dennis! 🍂🍁🍂

  • @gardenjunkie1 says:

My guess is the cgm went into different kinds of tissue with different flows of the liquid that gets tested.

  • @zenane2012 says:

Greetings from Ethiopia. That was very awakening. Thank you, Dennis.

I am not diabetic, but I believe I was headed that way without some dietary changes. Thanks for all that you do to help folks. I found the same kind of results with the Stelo on the second 2-week application. I’m thrilled it’s available without a prescription, but I was disappointed in the usage. My trusty meter was always much lower than the GGM. My results were the same as yours. I will wait 6 months to a year before I try it again. Hopefully solutions will be found by then. I’m sure the company was overwhelmed with this initial release, but I found their options for reporting problems really difficult to get through.

I enjoyed this presentation and I like you want variety in foods! I really like pizza and always have. Thank you!

In the 5 years I’ve been low carb, I’ve never eaten any kind of tortilla that doesn’t drive my numbers thru the roof, until now, my home made 2 ingredient (cabbage & egg) tortilla. I use one cup of finely chopped cabbage, heat it in the microwave for 2 minutes, let it cool, mix with 2 eggs and cook it like a pancake. I can eat two of these, and my blood sugar barely moves. Thanks, Dennis.

I find that all the keto substitutes just make me crave the real foods. I’m better off keeping it simple plus the cost of many of the products is prohibitive and recipes too time consuming.

  • @bryanmcloughlin2035 says:

Yep i have been using Abbott libre 2 CGM for years and using Abbotts recommended insertion site i have ALWAYS received much higher readings from the CGM than Mike
This NOT lag its how it is for me. A 6.5mmol finger prick is about 8.4mmol ALWAYS – i guess i have concentrated interstitial fluid ?? – again its not LAG|
what disappoints me is Abbots complete disregard for people calibrating their results (needs mult/plus not just offsets)
    ty for you insights :¬)

  • @johnlhigh says:

    What about zero carb tortilla?

  • @Hiker_Mike says:

Same thing happened to me. My 2nd one was consistently 25 pts higher than finger test. I thought it was due to the different spot I put the 2nd meter, it was more in my tricep muscle, rather than the thinner part of the back of my arm.

  • @jrcrump67 says:

I recently had the exact same experience with the Stelo cgm. I did place the second cgm that was 20 points off in a different arm and slightly different location of my arm so I wondered if that was the problem. Very frustrating for me.

  • @hippiegirl5167 says:

My keto bread raised my blood glucose sky high with the stelo? About 160

  • @hippiegirl5167 says:

How do you get an A1C reading ?

  • @juliegray7658 says:

    That pizza looks so yum!!

  • @ruthhaney2946 says:

That was the same issue I have with my dexcom stelo. I guess I’ll stick with Michelle the meter 😊

  • @pielukas says:

Dennis you were not fair to Mission. They too have tortillas that are 3 grams of NET carb and they are mighty tasty. I use them for pizza. You should have used those for the test. I have never tested them on my glucose level but one of these days I will. I just want you to know that Mission has tortillas that are 18 grams of carbs with 15 grams of fiber. I found it at Key food super market. Plus, I saw some on Amazon (Mission Low Carb Whole Wheat Tortilla, Carb Balance Burrito) that has 33 grams of carbs and 30 grams of Fiber

  • @carazie5267 says:

Hi Dennis, just an observation…several times you referred to “stabbing my finger” to get a blood sample using your non -continuous glucose meter (aka Mike the Meter). You have frequently shown yourself using your meter, but if someone is still hesistant to try it, this phrase might scare them off 🙂

  • @jrcrump67 says:

The egglife wraps work great for my blood sugar! They taste best when I toast them in a skillet because they do have a unique texture. My favorite dessert is making churros with the cinnamon flavor egglife wraps and adding cream cheese, cinnamon and monkfruit sweetener! So yummy!! Air fry them or fry in a healthy oil in a skillet and brush with butter and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar substitute. So so delish!

  • @marynlyn says:

The first day you use a sensor, the readings are invalid. They tell you to expect that. After that, it seems like the sensor runs consistently but can be several points off; just pay attention.
